Wearing a Bleu de Chanel is like sleeping with your ex, whom you once really loved and with whom you remain friends. You know perfectly well that you will no longer get much pleasure and those emotions as then, for the first time drunk, but for old memory, why not.
Its a perfect everyday fragrance i mean it works it gets compliments and it smells like grapefruit, ginger, incense and woods . My favourite bleu de chanel.
Lasts for 3 hours but projection is good. Great everyday youthful yet manly scent. I would carry the bottle around and respray every few hours, I ran through this so quick lol
The edt is absolutely leagues better than the edp in my opinion. Massively overrated the edp which I used to have, if you’re a first time buyer of the line then I’d always recommend the edt no hesitation.
I finally got a sample of this classic and wore it for a day. It's great, even if it's not daring or super innovative. It's a dry, sharp, woody citrus and incense scent that somehow manages to sustain the awesome grapefruit top notes for hours. Those who say performance of the EDT sucks need to detox your noses for a few days, because you've gotten noseblind. I was able to smell this for over 12 hours of wearing it, and it projected strongly. The EDT is different enough from the EDP to justify owning both versions. The EDP is a different fragrance, not a more concentrated version of the EDT. The EDP has the same woody citrus theme, but it's smoother, warmer and sweeter, and I think it's because it has amber, which the EDT does not have. The EDT is dry and sharp, while the EDP is warm and smooth. I prefer the EDT, but both are excellent.
I put it on hate list for a reason .. incense in summer scents is so headache inducing .. lacks fruits .. that’s why i love the edp much more .. the smoky vibe in this one is so bad i hate it .. edp is not smoky to my nose
Incredible abstract scent, kind of fresh, kind of spicy kind of dark, sometimes you will feel wet nature smell. If only it lasted longer, best I got was 2 hours good projection and then 1 hour close projection, then skin scent. Still worth it, plus beautiful bottle
Yeni temizlenmiş pahalı bir tuvalet gibi kokuyor
Amazing scent. Cannot go wrong with it if you want to be fresh. For me EDP/Parfum have some weird note that make it less cool, some weird sweetness that goes into a weird creamy smell. Parfum feels like a dialed up EDP.
That's the one! • There were other blue fragrances before BdC, but Chanel raised the bar substantially with this one. • This scent marked the beginning of a new era for the "Blue" lane, from "Before BdC" to "After BdC". • The same can be said about JPG's Le Mâle, which marked a transition in the aromatic fougères era of the 1990s. • I wore the Parfum after this one. IMO, it leans toward dressed-up "blue" versatility & elegance, but it's too intimate. • I skipped the EDP because it's honestly nondescript, and not as fresh & incensey as the EDT. • Thus, I always go back to BdC EDT as my go-to reliable BdC bottle, for its outstanding all-year versatility. • If you characterize this as a shower gel, you're repeating contrarian talking points used by influencers to drive clicks. • Lastly, forget about clones of the EDT (and Parfum). None got it right. Just pay up and get the OG. • IMHO, most flankers of SWY EDT and BdC EDT do not do them justice. Only a few are truly amazing.
besides eros, easily one of my favorite fragrances. Great scent.
My first ever fragrance. It still good but I love imagination way more.
I'm LOVIN' it! Clasic!
An absolute classic of 2010s perfumery this strips away the barber shop woodiness of many fragrances from before it and also the more intense multi-note complicated blends of the past and offers a highly clean, watery vibe. This is what made me fall in love with men's perfume. This is not challenging in the slightest, charming citrus notes that are bright and effervescent in the opening followed by very very light Woods in the base. Bleu de Chanel is the ultimate dumb reach the eau de toilette? Definitely vanishes as is reported and also smells slightly more metallic in its dry down prior to disappearing blue. Additional eau de toilet smells beautiful and is the ultimate gateway into the world of perfumes! It is THE shower gel fragrance and remains a favorite of mine. That said, compared to its subsequent flankers eau de toilette, the more raw materials base that you find in the more expensive blends. It is also" the worst performing" in that it really does vanish after a couple of hours and to truly carry that smell, you would need to spray intensely and still freshen up with additional sprays throughout the day. But if you have been curious about colognes and are looking for something accessible that will not be a Miss for almost anyone. This is the bottle that you've been looking for.
With the parfum this is still the best blue frag on the market, the rest smell cheap in comparison. Bleu has class where as things like Dylan blue smell like pound shop shower gel, sauvage is just headache inducing. I do like ysl y edp intense though.
Out of all of the hyped up designer blue fragrances i enjoy this one the least, imo dylan blue, y edp and sauvage are all better.
Well uhm, reading trough those ratings I find myself confused if I had gotten the same BDC.. I thought of this fragrance, more of a evening till night fragrance, making it a more heavier scent. It is fresh yeah, I get that, but I don't get as much freshness out of it. A summer scent?? NEVER, I think it is still to "overwhelming" (no that hard but it performs) for being a summer scent. I mostly reach for this when im going out, dinner, with friends or somewhere, also after a shower since I feel like it suits it most. I don't think its overused, BDC didn't get the hype Versace eros or Dior Sauvage got. The only Perfumes I smell around me are those 2 and SWY.. or also YSL Y.. With BDC still having its own flair, thank god it didn't get overused. It was one of my first perfumes and wow, I did not get scammed, it is a great fragrance with it also getting me compliments. Just heads out, my mother got me into this fragrance and well she was not wrong. BDC you've got character and its timeless, with you being a almost safe blind buy if you weren't that expensive :) (Edit: mine just sat around for 2 years so I think thats the reason)
Very bizarre how much fresher this is than the EDP EDP is like a nondescript one dimensional shower gel soup, EDT is more complex and more fresh, notes stand out from one another, just like with the parfum Got all 3 from Chanels website over the years
A sweet, synthetic amber-wood scent. Long-lasting. Good projection. But 9 out of 10 people are using it.
I like this fragrance because its versatile and can be worn in any occasion. Love the fruity and citrus nature of the fragrance. Again, we're talking about the mega fragrances that appeal to the masses. One must ask why? quite simply, this comes with a full product line-up that compliment the fragrance. Like shower gel, aftershave..etc
I've never met anyone in my life who doesn't like this masterpiece If I had to have one fragrance for the rest of my life this would be hard to beat A little biased cause this was the first fragrance my dad bought me :)
Can’t remember how many bottles of this one I have bought during my teenage years. This one is a classic blue scent. Simple but does the job: smelling fresh and clean. It won’t fill a room nor will you make a statement with this one, but sometimes that’s all you need.
I unfortunately do not understand the hype around this fragrance, I find it very cold and too masculine, even a little old fashioned.
Hands down the most appealing aquatic male designer fragrance on the market (to my nose). The mint gives a special lift and matches the citruses perfectly on a resinous, yet not oriental base. Basic, but good.
Evil corps created the flanker. Most times the og is the masterpiece. I think that’s the case here. Obviously they all smell really similar and they are all great. Your talking about Chanels life blood for men’s fragrances. As you probably read, this is repurchased a lot.
Parfum is my favorite but I still think the EDT is a LEGEND of fragrance and still my most repurchased ever. That grapefruit and mint with incense never ever gets old.
Smells nice in the air. Not as synthetic as people claim, I believe that association stems from the ginger. Best in the series. EDT more lively, EDP/Parfum are too heavy, mottled & linear. I’ve had Missoni & though that is a decent fragrance, it’s fairly different from the OG. I get whiffs of Light Blue eau Intense here in Bleu edt.. has that Harry’s shaving gel twang (if you know you know). My only gripe is that I wish the mint was actually noticeable : (. It’s mainly ginger, incense, grapefruit, w/ a lemony vetiver.
@fzecavat Sorry to say but i think you re talking bout EDP. There was never a melon note in the EDT and back in the day was a lot smokier than now. Also what you smell is the incense and not patchouli . Especially the EDT smells three things Grapefruit Ginger and Incense.
edp is better but even that is basic
I loved this perfume but one of my support workers made me dislike wearing it because one day I wore it and he asked me about it, made me look up the name, the price, where he could buy it and worst of all I had to take him to where he could buy it
