It reminds me of casual, London elegance.
This is a close one, but not my cup of tea. The rose with classic cologne background is very nice. The powdery aspect isn’t my favorite, which is unfortunate because that’s one of the longer lasting elements. It’s still great, unique and refined. The major downfall is its longevity. This is entirely gone from my skin in an hour. I’d happily try an amplified version that omits the powdery notes. For now, Gucci guilty esp is my favorite masculine rose fragrance.
Ha, now this is a mature fragrance. It is also quite old-fashioned. Still it’s actually quite good, even though I don’t normally go for these. If you think of something like Stetson OG, not so much the actual scent, but just a bit of that scent and a lot of that old-fashioned vibe, and then knock a little powder onto it and then give it enough spit and polish so that a mature British gentleman would be happy to wear it, and then I think you’ve got this fragrance. Well I did consider for a moment adding it to a once in a while part of my collection, but I found that actually wearing it with enough sprays to enjoy, started to make me go nose blind. So I guess this scent doesn’t work for me personally.
One of the best rose fragrances I have ever smelled. Performance is cheeks but I really like the soft floral powdery nature of it. Definitely leans a touch feminine but not to the point men can't wear it.
Foremost powdery but still masculine. I get a soapy rose along with decent muskiness and spices in the background. A bit formal, yet legere enough for casual wear.
Prefer this over the "For Her" Burberry line - baby powder, smooth, inoffensive and shines in all seasons Sillage is on the weaker side, but a good nonsuffocating balance with a gorgeous mandarin opener. Its definetely UNISEX and not just masculine, I love this one. Its so soothing, especially before bed Powdery and floral
Bastante atalcado. Gostava mais do vidro antigo
This has got to be one of the most inoffensive masculine scents out there. Smells like clean laundry clothes, works great for work or even day to day wear. Never fails to get a few compliments here and there.
Acceptable at arms length
If this is the scent of the modern british man, it's no wonder they've fallen so far.
Very unique, easy to wear, smooth, typical Burberry smell like business man. No projection no silage ok for the price .
Burberry Brit for Men reminds me of something. My initial guess was Tom Ford Noir Extreme because of the rose, but Brit isn't sweet like Extreme. I noticed that the rose note is listed more prominently in the OG Noir and then saw where others compared Brit to Noir as well. Or maybe Brit is better described as a rose-infused Egoiste Platinum. Whatever it is, I'm not compelled to give it any more thought than that. Brit is a mild, woody scent that arrives shrouded in rose. I don't get any of the powder often described here. A dressy office day scent that doesn't risk overprojecting and peters out by the 5 hour mark. At around $30 from discounters, Brit represents a good bargain fragrance--albeit an unremarkable one.
Lowkey smells like Barbasol shaving cream
This is a nothing burger perfume. No personality. In the dry down it turns into a sweet, jammy rose. Other than that, I don’t even know how to describe this. Spicy clean? Not even much of a scent profile. Just spicy clean. Not the worst, but I’m not gonna remember this as anything special. Longevity is alright, it’s been around 5 hours and it’s a skin scent. Light to decent projector. Price is pretty unbeatable for a designer, though.
no one pulls off cedar quite like burberry does. i NEED this. upd.: got this. in love.
This was my everyday wear when I was in my early 20's. At some point I stopped wearing it and lost track of the bottle. Nearly 20 years later, I was in a department store and decided to smell a tester at a burberry case just to remember what it smelled like. I also grabbed a strip of hero edt because having the edp and parfum intense, but not the best, I couldn't recall it I liked it or not. Well, I liked both fragrances... But once they started drying down, I couldn't t tell them apart. They were identical. I even gave the two strips to the person at the counter and they too were shocked. The openings are different for sure, but after five minutes, it's like they made a super redundant brit flanker and instead of releasing it under that old line, they decided to call it hero and start a new one. Then they turned Han Solo's kid into a minotaur for a commercial and everyone moved on. But I think they still produce brit for men, so... What's going on here?
Burberry Brit for Men is greatly underrated. It's powdery & woodsy but also fresh... it's one of my first fragrances I ever purchased as a young adult. It's DNA leans older but not much, late 20s and up... my only issue is the change in formula, while not official reformulated, after the bottle went from Tartan to Argyle, the powder aspect increased and the woody undertones felt cut in half... like many fragrances that are nearing 20 plus... many were changed due to certain chemical ingredients being banned.... Burberry Brit 10 plus years ago was an easy 10/10, now it's a solid 8 ... the rose is deceptive because it's hidden in powder & wood.... this scent is underrated and I think more men should try it... especially for price point BUT I see why it's not, because Burberry Touch exist and to me, that's more versatile & makes powder scents youthful & fresh in its presentation
Just the soapiness - powder of Prada l’homme with rose instead of iris. It’s so great, perfect for working in an office or relax. Thus it cost around 30€ at discounters so it's a no brainer. No wonder it has won a FiFi award fragrance of the year in 2005
plain white tee type of scent . gets the job done you can bring it anywhere really . had to get another bottle for colder months . the spice is never overwhelming either . great entry to masculine roses . i like this more in spring/fall
I've always been curious about this one, but I knew it had a lot of rose. I like rose--but only in moderation. So, I was hoping that the rose, even though listed as being one of the most prominent notes, wouldn't be overwhelming. I wasn't disappointed... This is excellent. Many say they get only baby powder, but that was definitely not the first thing that came to mind when I smelled it. While it absolutely is a powdery scent, the citrus and ginger give it some zing, and the other notes (spices, woods and musk) round out the scent to make it versatile and clean and, in my book, signature-scent-worthy. Again, I get so excited when I find a frag this is not only good but inexpensive and uncommon as well. This fits that description to a tee. You can find 100 mL testers for under $30 at the time of this review.
This would remind you of a light and soft daytime version of La Nuit with some added powdery rose. It's really nice come dry down and would easily get you a compliment. You could do alot worse. Wearable 3.5 seasons bar hot summer days and is cheap, giving off decent quality. This could possibly be the greatest easily affordable office scent ever created. Pleasant not to offend and would never become overwhelming.
This is such an attractive fragrance with a soft and realistic rose touch to it, almost like you just walked through a flower shop and you're bringing that gentle and comfortable aura with you. One could wear this any time the weather is just a bit cooler, but I believe Brit will shine the most in the autumn. This is a walk through the park in which you enjoy the crisp fall air- it's gentle and sits closer to skin, but oh so cozy. Projection may not be very far, but that makes Brit absolutely amazing as an office fragrance.
For me it has that ChupaChups CocaCola smell
The word that best describes this scent is "warm". There is also a hint of spice and rose, but that's it. Very inoffensive. It is very weak and lasts about 1-2 hours on my skin. Could be suitable for the office, otherwise I wouldn't really recommend it.
this used to be my daily when I was first getting into fragrances, and it actually was alright for a pretty affordable fragrance. Maybe not for everyone since it is a little unique, but can be pulled off on most occasions, except for hot days, and nobody will dislike it really.
Burberry Brit For Men is a spicy, aromatic, and powdery fragrance. The scent of this fragrance is very spicy and full of tonka bean, with a floral aromatic accord that comes from rose. The rose note is usually accompanied by sweet and warm spices; in this fragrance's case, the scent is barely sweet and rather powdery, reminiscent of some commercial talcum powders and even a hint of Luna Rossa Black, perhaps due to the tonka bean and musk base. This fragrance is a good choice for office work due to its understated, non-invasive aroma. The climates that would best suit it would be autumn, winter, and cool spring days, even on a date night. Its longevity has been good, lasting more than 9 hours, but with a short sillage, noticeable only when very close to the wearer. This is an underrated fragrance, rarely talked about, but still on sale. If you find it, I invite you to try it; you might be pleasantly surprised, or maybe not.
this is a good one
This fragrance smells EXACTLY like a Rose. Idk if chicks dig roses or not. Didn't have much of a chance to go out when I bought this fragrance, but if you want something that smells like a rose, this is it! Had no problems Projection and longevity.
Cozy, powdery, and versatile in cooler weather. Nostalgic but also a bit dated. Not particularly exciting and its performance is lacking, but it's still nice. 7.5/10
quite nice. masc and spicy. also: chalk?
