This is a really great fragrance because it stands out from a lot of the other designer fragrances nowadays and it fits the Burberry brand perfectly. It reminds me of an old English mansion, a kind of old smell, but at the same time it is modern. I'm not sure how they did it but it's perfect for those looking for that old Burberry vibe but at the same time it doesn't literally smell like a vintage perfume. The performance isn't amazing but still it lasts a good time. Overall this is one of my favorite scents and I'm glad it fits so well with the brand.
This is the best of the line and oddly enough no flanker is anything like it. This is an easy daily driver. Clean and soapy citrus opening thag leaves a lingering woody base all day. Would love to see an edt intense. It really deserves a true flanker.
It's very unique and definitely not a blind buy. In fact its one of those fragrances I had to scrub off. Urinal cake and realistic wood scent
Love it!! Super clean and woody. I'm not really into complex fragrances im really boring, and this did the trick. I love the cedar in this it smells so real and authentic. I'll admit it doesn't last as long but I dont mind - I can just reapply as needed.
This scent may be underrated but Burberry has overpriced this now 5 year old fragrance. It's good but not that good and plenty of other fragrances that are reasonably priced.
This needs an intense flanker. It's the best out of the entire line and none of the others smell remotely close
Just another Cedar by Chopard "Noble Cedar"
When I first got the tester, it was very sweet and I didn't get the wood at all. However, I retried it 2 months later and the sweetness has subsided to give way to the wood. I'd recommend letting it macerate before spraying it on.
I didn’t recognize the notes at first because it is so cloyingly sweet. Cedar isn’t sweet; here it’s treacle. Pepper isn’t sweet: here it’s syrup. The bergamot is worst treated. It’s like someone had only ever had citrus in the form of starbucks earl grey. I don’t hate it, if it wasn’t so diabetic I think it would be fine. Oh well, can’t trust British fashion🤷♂️
Have never liked Burberry Frags. I have a good sized collection & try to sample new stuff often. Many frags are redundant after you have 15-20 bottles & understand the different types etc... Hero EDT is one of my favorites. I wish it lasted longer. Found a refill at N-Rack for $55 last week & grabbed it. For some reason its weaker & I rarely complain about EDT performance. I expect 3-4 hours....Refill & new versions are 1 out at best....Which sucks cause I love this scent. Its still worth $50 for 1-2 hours. EDP is overall the best just not great in heat. Its sweet & smells like a Dior intense/Parfum. Hero line is great. Unique & clean. King EDP may be better. Both great & slightly unique. Don't dismiss, dont blind buy, sample. may be surprised.
This is super clean and extremely underrated. The closest comparison I can make is Dior Homme EDT, but they’re not too similar- This doesn’t really smell like anything else out there. The performance is perfect for the type of scent it is, it leaves a really beautiful trail. Woodsy, fresh, clean.
nice citrusy woody scent, good dumb reach fragrance
I'm not sure if I should give the review "ok" or "dislike". Little too harsh, chemical and sharp this Hero line.
#125 of My Fragrance Journey - Burberry Hero: Less armour. More architecture. You expect something called Hero to arrive loudly. It doesn't. Cold morning light through a high window. Bergamot, clean and alive, with a faint greenness that keeps it from reading as laundry or shower gel. Black pepper underneath - not interrupting, just nudging it slightly off-centre. Enough to stop it from becoming predictable. It feels designed. Not in a cold, over-engineered way - more like glass catching morning sun. Cedar framed in concrete. Something built carefully and then left open to the weather. Juniper comes through as the citrus settles - sharp and aromatic, a cool current running underneath everything. Like crushed greenery through an open window. It doesn't announce itself. It's just suddenly there when you pay attention. Cedar follows, dry and architectural, clean grain and clean lines without ornament. But it never disconnects from the body. There's warmth beneath it, a subtle leathery texture, skin existing underneath the structure rather than being hidden by it. This is where Hero earns its place. The masculinity is quieter than the name suggests - softer, more efficient, confidence through restraint rather than volume. It doesn't push forward. It just occupies space well, which is its own kind of confidence. The most interesting moments come unexpectedly. A trace of cedar hours later. A brief flash of juniper when the air goes cool. It stays in motion even when it appears still - and that's genuinely rare in this space. Eventually, the tension settles, and the architecture stays, but the movement slows. The woods flatten slightly. It stops asking questions and chooses stability over curiosity. Not unpleasant - just more ordinary than where it started. Something gets traded away in the final hours, and you notice the absence. Still. It stays human throughout. Connected to warmth and body and presence, even when it's quieted down. Five or six hours, moderate projection, close to skin. A personal halo rather than a trail. An easy blind buy for cedar lovers. Safe, yes - but self-aware about it, which makes a difference. Vibe: Sunlight off brushed metal. Green air through cedar beams. Shadows on concrete floors. Performance: 5–6 hours, soft projection, stays close. Gentle rather than commanding. Fit: Everyday wear, open spaces, moments where subtlety carries more authority than spectacle. Does a fragrance that never quite finishes - that keeps moving quietly in the background - earn more respect than one that peaks early and disappears? One of my favourite fragrances. It often gets me compliments, has great sillage, and a fresh, indulgent, and unique smell. Great stuff.
beautiful fall/winter fragrance. confidently blind-buy this. while i dont have the nasal palette to say whether its listed notes ring true, i can attest to it smelling woody. it projects well without being overbearing, however i would recommend spraying lightly
I absolutely love this fragrance. Its a modern, masculine fragrance that is pretty much citrus (bergamot but I also think citron is in this one) and cedar. Its an obvious cedar dominant fragrance and that is the star of the show. Its like freshly cut cedar wood that is at the perfect age of maturation, and it is amazing. The juniper and black pepper helps to make it a but spicy but just enough. Its really the perfect amount of spice if you ask me. Some will say its basic but you are not going find a better cedar frag for the price point, its some good quality juice. It does get a tad powdery but in the most masculine way. This is such a great work scent every season besides winter but you can get away with it then too. I've been getting a solid 5-6 hours. Which is the downside but I'm okay with that. In warmer weather you will get more projection and longevity. The sun is this fragrance's best friend. And this fragrance is my best friend in summer, warmer spring and fall days.
Barbershop fresh fragrance with a woody base. Super clean, masculine and easy to wear. Safe for the office, gym, and one of those perfect daily wear fragrances, definitely could be signature worthy. If you like those classic, clean, mass appeal fragrances this is one of them, I personally like this profile over most of the designer fresh fragrances. Longevity - 6/10 (overspray this!!!) Sillage - 5/10 Scent profile - 8.5/10
Liked this one a lot at the store. Ordered a travel spray for further try at home, and it took me an effort to finish it. Never again. Pretty meh.
I first tried it in store I preferred the amber eau du parfum but next day I tried eau du toilette and honestly it was way fresher perfect for spring /summer not to offensive smelling but still masculine to be honest it’s fresh clean woody masculine what more can you ask
No conozco otra fragancia similar, siento que es muy única. Sin dudas es mi estilo de perfume, amaderado y fresco. Se hace sentir pero la duración no es muy buena.
I do like this fragrance, but theres something about the opening that I just can’t get behind, I just feel like the strong citrus smell doesn’t mesh super well with the woodiness. On the drydown, though, it develops into a much nicer spicy cedar scent. Regardless, I think the stronger fragrances in this line are much better bang for your buck.
Dumb reach for an older guy in almost any situation. Woody, citrusy, classy and very versatile. Slightly rugged too. Wearing it today with a leather jacket, jeans and boots. Could be better in longevity and sillage, but louder isn’t always the best way to go with stuff like this. This is pretty decent. I love when stuff like this comes out. I have the EDP, but I’m enjoying this one for now before I switch. Scent: 8/10 Sillage: 6/10 Longevity: 6/10 Value: 6/10
It’s a fresh woody perfume. Opens fresh with a little bit of spiciness, and then becomes more woody. It doesn’t project like crazy, but it projects enough for around 1 hour. Neat, fresh, and classy. Safe for a blind buy.
probably wouldn’t have picked this out for myself because i tend to avoid bergamot but i got a free sample - i like it more than i thought i would! it comes on very strong and initially smells almost exactly like the axe shaving cream my dad used growing up, which i don’t love — but then it starts to fade down to something more woodsy. once the juniper takes a backseat i start to like it more. mostly makes me think of hiking through a pine forest shortly after a rainstorm.
I bought this because a hot girl told me to. Other hot girls confirmed... This is a safe blind buy if you want to smell good to hot girls. hahah.
Oh my goodness, such a beautiful scent, the whole Hero line smells like the perfect camping getaway. Like you’re smelling all the untouched trees around you , and you’re also getting whiffs of your firewood and your wooden cabin.
formal, woody fragrance. citrus notes are very present with the majority of the scent carried by the cedar. would recommend for a blind buy if your looking for a formal, office, meeting sort of fragrance. reminds me of walks in a forest and ,consequently, its quite a nostalgic smell. the following rating is on behalf of someone who does like woody fragrances (if you don't i wouldn't recommend this) : smell : 8/10 projection : 7/10 longevity : 8/10 overall : 8/10 people say it hasnt got strong projection but i feel as if it has and its strength can be quite intense to the person wearing it as well which i would regard as its only negative aspect.
Woody and peppery, it's pretty good just nothing special.
I absolutely love this fragrance, It reminds me of Dove's Charcoal Clay Men's Bodywash, which is my favorite body-wash, absolutely heavenly. Everything Burberry puts out is different from the rest of the crowd, sophisticated, high class; and this follows that path.
