I am sooo sad this masterpiece was discontinued! I've never smelled anything as good before or since. So light, so fresh, so good! Always got compliments on it. I have a few drops of it left that I save for VERY special occasions until I can get my hands on another full bottle. I wish I could find something similar, but the closest I found is Light Blue, which is by no means a dupe but has the most similar vibe. While not necessarily the same profile I also get a similar vibe from almost the entire Liis collection, so depending on your taste you might want to sample some of those if you miss this one of a kind scent.

One of my all time favorite fragrances and unfortunately discontinued. Elegant, girly, fresh! Someone needs to come up with a dupe for it!

This one’s giving casual cool energy light, clean, and kinda lowkey addictive… perfect if you want something simple but nice super easy to wear… not loud, just smooth everyday vibes fr.

One of my absolute favorites! They don't make them like this anymore... WHY?! After comparing some of the notes, the 2024 release of Velvet Infusion by Dolce&Gabbana looks like it might be similar, but I'm wondering if anyone on here has tried it. I'm always searching for any dupe, clone, or inspiration of this incredible fragrance. Anyone find one?

Pulled out my half bottle to smell tonight, still sooo good and so unique! Soft, sweet powdery tea with very slight hints of cardamom. I dont wanna use it because I'll never find a dupe :( PLEASE someone find one for us.

Oh boy, how I miss this scent! So fresh, clean, feminine, and classy. It’s incredibly nostalgic for me, and I wish I could get a bottle to bring back all the memories and those little whiffs once again 🫶

Bought this in Paris when I was sixteen and wore it every day in high school until the bottle ran out. Don't think I could've possibly felt more chic. Went for Brit afterward, but it wasn't the same. Would love to find a bottle now--the bergamot/pink pepper/cardamom combo really laid the foundation for my taste.

How good is this!! I remember my dad wore the male version when I was a kid. I bought the second hand bottle for memories. I love it as an everyday perfume. But Burberry stop selling this, I have to wear it less to keep my memorable scent inside my cupboard. Musky but citrusy. How can it not be an everyday perfect scent?

what a lovely scent. it starts out clean and so cozy :) and maybe a little sweet? then it becomes a fresh citrus scent. i tend not to like citrus scents because they can be kind of bitter and astringent but this is smooth and mild all the way through

Smells fresh and cool with a touch of edge. Feels modern, clean, and just a bit mysterious — great for everyday with personality.

That was actually my first ever fragrance! I still remember it like it was yesterday. Peppery citrus and clean!!! For not in your face but with a twist smell that is it!!! 8.5/10 for me.

Category: Citrusy, musky (clean), bitter, powdery Notes: Sprays on a sour orange and heavy cardamom. Within a few minutes the powderiness of the iris begins emerging alongside a mildly bitter tea note. There is a distinct but mellow pepperiness here as well, but it doesn't show up on me until a few minutes after spraying it on. All of it rests on a generic clean musky base. Vibe: Office lobby. Call-sheet. Lavender. Easter. Friday mornings. Bellflowers. Cotton. Vitamin C. Effervescent tablets. Sandbox. Citrus scented handwipes. Pencil skirt and ballet flats. Sillage: 7/10. This is not overtly loud, but it is pungent. It does project within an arms length with just one spray so I can imagine this could quickly become overwhelming if oversprayed. Longevity: 2/10. One of the worst performances I've encountered so far. Lasts about 3 hours on skin. Atrocious. Wear: Day. Spring or summer, although I could see this working all year round. Iffy on whether or not this is office wear approved… maybe if used sparingly? Overall rating: 4.5/10. This is by no means a bad scent, but it's just way too pungent for me. It is sweet, clean, spicy and a little powdery. While the iris lends it some softness, the sourness of the citrus in conjunction with the bitterness of its rind, the tea and the cardamom it becomes a little much on the bitterness front. I think the biggest issue for me is the cardamom which, rather than the lovely, mild scent of ground cardamom, dons the pungent, spicy aroma of intact cardamom pods. It is so strong in fact that it kind of stings your nose when you go to sniff it. The cardamom weighs the fragrance down as a whole and makes it feel very heavy despite the other notes being quite refreshing and light, and unfortunately makes this a borderline headache/nausea inducing fragrance for me. Kind of crazy but I genuinely believe smelling this triggered some severe heartburn for me? That being said, it is very feminine and adult without feeling old-fashioned or conservative, and I'd say it likely works in most scenarios and environments. Just another one of those fragrances that, while fairly nice, is a little too overwhelming for me sensory wise. I will say that the longer it stays on the more wearable it becomes - after 2 hours this is just an inoffensive powder, mildly sour citrus and musk, but it also only lasts for 3 hours so hardly worth it. Who would wear it?: Daphne in Scooby-Doo.

Pepper+citrus with a cleaning product vibe. Drydown is a clean inoffensive musk. Somehow reminds me of having breakfast with eggs and tea. It smelled amazing on a rainy day btw.

literally one of my favorites fragrances ever. i found out it was discontinued and was devastated. i got lucky and found another bottle at tj maxx or marshalls maybe two years ago TT

I still can’t believe this was discontinued.. I think I bought a bottle a year from 2008-2022. I have never felt better wearing another frag than I had wearing this… nor have I ever received as many compliments wearing something else as I have wearing this.. There are a few drops left in my last bottle that I’ve been layering with Pink Woods recently released by Arianna grande.. somewhat similar vibe 🙄 but nothing remotely close to touching this masterpiece. I emailed Burberry Headquarters personally to let them know that I feel like this discontinuation is a calculated attack on my core identity.. If they don’t re-release this soon I think I might actually go insane.

Very lovely, pleasant perfume. Quite gentle and, personally, the citrus notes aren't jarring. Mostly, I smell iris and tea. It is not ground-breaking but I find it is perfect and inoffensive for daily wear. The only downside is longevity - after two or so hours it disappears completely.

The lemon is so annoying. I really dislike "citrus" notes; I should stay away from them. I only bought a sample. This dries down to a flowery mess. Sweetness that when inhaling seems to singe my brain, hurtful. Not my thing; smells cheap. There is something harsh in the dry down.

Fresh out the bottle opening gives REAL grapefruit. I hope after maceration that magic stays. Unrealated notes that combine to make the most realistic grapefruit I've ever smelled? That has Ropion written all over it 🤣. If you know his work, especially Armani code, this is a crisp fresh citrus version of that. It leans much more clean than ambre vanilla

Leads with tea and citrus, then melds into a floral scent. I dunno about the bands listed as inspiration, but this seems a happy upbeat crowd.

Used a bottle of "The Beat" way back and I miss it. I have a good collection of perfumes and enjoy gourmands, but still waiting for this one to be released again - without changing the formula. I should have bought it before it's discontinued.

@lulu7898 I’m not sure why, but Moschino Cheap and Chic kind of reminds me of The Beat, especially when sprayed on the clothes and after a dry down. I’ve been looking for a perfume similar to Cacharel Promesse for years now, but still no luck.🥺

Could you recommend something close to The Beat? It's getting very hard to find 😞. I apologize if this has been discussed previously.

Thanks to this perfume, I may have realized that I do not like the iris flower, or at least the iris+musk blend, idk. :D I found it a bit cloying. Other than that, it is not groundbreaking, just an "ok" scent.
