From the bottle kinda similar to Van Cleef Midnight Pachouli, but on the skin its softer, a bit sweeter and more creamy (or is that resins?). I love it. Its ambery too. That cresmy resin vibe reminds me a bit of Dior Hyphnotic Poison (perfume). Patchouli is there but not too strong. Fall or winter, maybe even late summer nights. I sprayed it just a bit cos its a super hot day and I wanted to test it on my skin. Vampy but softer and discreet, like you had no idea until you came closer to them and realize its too late cos they are not really human.
It smells nice for the literally 2 minutes it lasted on me. It feels like a child's version of an adult perfume (performance wise, not note wise). Glad I got it as a free travel sample when I bought my bottle of Aromatics.
Hidden gem. A very moist, creamy musk with facets of patchouli and rose. The opening is like a savory, muddy patchouli that I don’t care for. But the way this one melds with the skin is so dreamy. Your skin but sexier.
I came across this at Marshalls. Being an OG Arimatics lover I thought I would like it. I was wrong. It doesn't smell remotely like Aromatics so not sure why they kept the name for sales maybe. I was disappointed. It is a very soft fragrance with a blask of Amber and powder which become notes of incense. If does remind me of one of the narciso r. frangrances but wiht more powder. Definitely not a blind buy if you are buying because you like the original.
I love Aromatics Elixir and I was able to finally get a bottle of Aromatics White locally from an online retailer. The bottle is so pretty and so is the scent. It is so much more softer than Elixir and a soothing floral musky vibe. I have had this for about 3 weeks now and I wear this when I am going to bed or working from home. I layered it with the Elixir and it was so good. The projection of this scent is very low compared to the elixir so when I want to wear it out, I just layer it with a perfume oil to add more depth and volume to it. This has been a successful blind buy and even though I won’t buy it again because I have more than a hundred bottles of perfume and all need to be rotated into the mix, I will definitely use it all up and enjoy it while I still have it. The weather is hot here in Abuja, Nigeria most of the year round so if you want an office friendly, children with allergies complaint perfume, this is an excellent choice for you.
Got this lovely bottle randomly from a very generous fragrantican! What a treat. So finally I can test and properly review. Very tom ford white patchouli, which I love. I don't get much rose but it might be my nose atm (luteal phase yay) it's mostly a soft patchouli with white florals, ambers and musks. Very much up my alley - but as i also noticed at the airport when I initially tried it doesn't last like tom ford. I feel it's very airy, still a bit spicy but not at all the oomphy perfume that tom ford is. I feel like I would need a good 2-3 ml of this per day so I'm thinking I will use this small bottle up in a few months max. But I might save this one for the springtime - I think the weather might also be at play - I get a lot more out of certain smells in the warmer weather. Will be back with more notes upon further testing but, I do love the scent profile. Edit: Getting the soft rose now, but it's very balmy, I think it just gives that aromatic twist to the musks and resins in here. And my bad, this does in fact last, but because of it's airy nature plus your nose gets used to it, it can feel like it doesn't last. I was out an event yesterday and had so much male attention, not that I'm looking for i in fact I was uncomfortable if I'm honest... but it was a bit unusually intense. I'm blaming the perfume I had on which is this one :D
Very very aromatics, indeed. It smells like resins (labdanum, benzoin), incense and all things magik. A perfume that gives me the comfort to feel self-assured, stronger and protected. It’s really a little bit like a magic potion. Definitely a winter scent.
First impressions on my skin on a hot summer's day--do not wear in summer. Wear in winter, with fleece, fur, or cashmere. Pleasantly scented enough to be in rotation, but does not mesh well enough with my body chemistry to be a signature scent. It is worth a try if you can get a small amount for a low price.
Sweet candied rose. Powdery, warm, clean. The opening reminds me of the rose in Narciso For Her. But overall they're not alike. The first time I smelled this, I told the lady at the Clinique counter that it smelled like a sweet shop. She looked at me like I was insane. 🍬🩰🌹🧁
Haven’t worn this one in a long while…with that I mean maybe 5 or 6 years so I forgot how beautiful and fresh it truly is. Soapy fresh but not like, say, Pure Grace-soapy (one of my signature scents btw) but more like soapy-light floral, smooth and creamy, like a triple milled luxury French soap. Dries down to soft fresh amber-vanilla with the patchouli making an appearance every now and then. Longevity of about 6 hours on me but settles to almost just a whisper after 4 hours. Makes me think of the term “quiet luxury”.
Gorgeous labdanum, splendid rose, soft musk. Aromatics in White is clean - if I may - in an expensive way. It is addictive in spring and fall. Love, love, love!
First off, don't go blind buying this based on your love for the OG Aromatics. I can't say I see a resemblance between them at all. More like step siblings. That said, it's a clean but soft, powdery, musky, comforting, gentle fragrance. I can't handle rose scents (headaches) but the rose in this is at a pleasant subdued level. I feel like a perfumed musk stick... and I like it. My main criticism is that it has almost no sillage at all :(
Flashback to age 14, sitting in my bedroom burning nag champa incense and trying on long, flowy skirts. There's rose and musk and a sweet white amber... and I can't stop sniffing it. Quite a soft fragrance. Nice if you're after something gentle.
"Can evoke emotions and tears in eyes" >D AI is so dramatic. Anyone have a sample / decant in the UK for me or can confirm how similar this is to TF? xx
Fluffy, powdery pretty scent. Love it
Smells like an earthy rose combined with sichuan pepper. Super pleasant. Didn't expect myself to like the pepper note so much. Drydown is musky and the earthy vibe fades.
I generally like fragrances for myself because they feel good to wear, like a beautiful golden cloud of protection shimmering around me, and I seldom pay attention to anything others wear. So it's a rarity that something really grabs me on another person. Today as I strolled through the kitchen, I smelled this on my wife and immediately was drawn to kiss her pale neck and get a more thorough sampling of this beautiful scent. It's really that good. Only two other fragrances have really made my heart leap like this, and to a lesser degree. Eau d'Iparie - a romantic encounter amongst the antique wood and books and flowers in a historic French chateau in the countryside, or the cold, clean bouquet of Malle's Carnal Flower.
One of my favorite perfumes😍 Only wish it wasn’t so expensive for so little product🥲 Can’t put into words how this perfume smells. Only that it reminds me of spending time with my nan🤷♀️
Bought this as a blind buy - it was on special and I read some reviews. While some people said it isn’t white … to my nose and on my skin it’s pure white. I get buckets of powder and not much else. Wearing it on a hot and humid summer day and I feel clean. It reminds me a little of Shalimar. It’s a bit old lady, but nice nice, clean clean. On me it smells minimal, close to the skin, and yeah…. Just powdery. Easy to wear and comforting. I like it.
Smells like it's made with natural ingredients and smells more expensive than it costs. Really beautiful, comforting scent.
Mix of the patchouli and rose in Lalique Perles de Lalique and the musk in Romantina! Interesting but I don’t need it, it also smelled “confusing” to my boyfriend. Slightly savoury.
the opening is sharp and is like a love child of TF White Patchouli and Estee Lauder Pleasure(I'm not a fan of any of those). an almost scrachy blend of musky florals and patchouli. but it settles down to something much softer and nicer. I can mostly detect a pretty and clean musky rose rounded by a light touch of warmer, creamier notes like amber and vanilla.in this phase it's what I expected Narciso Rodriguez for her EDP(the pink one) to be and it failed. I'm not into patchouli and I hate labdanum and fortunately neither of them bother me here. I'm usually into gourmands and sweet floral vanillas and this genre of musk-amber-patchouli florals are not my biggest favorites; I also have more than enough perfumes in musky floral genre so I was hesitant to keep Clinique Aromatics in White but it's drydown is so gorgeous in a calm and ladylike way that I decided to keep it. it has impressive sillage when first sprayed but it quickly settles down to close to skin range.the day after wearing it when I sniff my wrists there's this lovely clean scent which smells as if I have applied a luxurious floral body lotion so I can say the skin scent it leaves behind lasts almost 24 hours on my skin which is amazing. BTW it has nothing to do with Clinique Aromatics Elixir which I hate and Clinique Aromatics in Black which I like a lot.
Peppery opening, fruity rose shampoo, green herbal patchouli, abstract white flowers, clean creamy musks, and subtle "white" amber in the base. The deep drydown has a touch of vanilla. This is what I was hoping to find from the popular Narciso Rodriguez perfumes (they're all a bit harsh), but the clean, muted, refreshing musk of my dreams has come from Lauder. I shouldn't be surprised, but I am. Lauder work out their perfumes better than most. Sophisticated, subtle, gentle, beautiful. The scent of an upscale moisturizer or lotion. One of the few modern releases I love and wear regularly. It's a relatively soft scent, but I am happy to have something this womanly at a reasonable price point. Thank you Lauder.
I love the OG Aromatics Elixer and saw reviews that compared this Aromatics In White to TF White Patchouli. I found a sealed NIB bottle online. I had high expectations but this is a screechy floral patch with a distinct cat pee note in the opening. A strong disappointment.
Powdery, musky floral. Soft and more of a body scent on my skin. Pretty and must be re-applied. I won’t be replacing the bottle I have. Edit: Yuk. Violets 🤢
I have no idea why they named this as an Aromatics flanker as it couldn’t touch the elegance of Aromatics with a bargepole.
In my opinion the violet leaf separates this from all the mediocre amber florals out there. Better than I expected.
Short lived, but lovely. It's cheap enough that you can reapply often, which you will need to do. The smell is divine, the drydown musky and comfortable. Wish it lasted longer.
I can definitely see why, on opening, Aromatics in White might remind someone of Nanette Lepore's Nanette. Very similar openings, but Nanette retains the rose throughout. Aromatics in White's sweeter florals move to the forefront quite quickly, and the rose fades as this fragrance settles. I could almost say there is a jasmine or gardenia waxy-creamy note that's not listed, but that could also just be the combination of deep florals giving that impression. I love this for Summer. It is a warm June day, and while this is very present and no wallflower of a fragrance, it is not overpowering in any way. Wearing this may inspire me to tuck a flower behind one ear while wearing it on some warm and lovely Summer dusk. This is lovely. I love Nanette, and consider it one of my favorite rose fragrances, but this is something I will enjoy for different reasons. It almost has a dark and dewy tropical jungle feel, and I envision lush, waxy jasmine and creamy gardenia flowers dripping with fragrant dew. It's nothing new, nothing novel, but still feels very fresh and wonderful to me.
Aromatics in White is a reassuring hug after a few challenging weeks of moving to a new home. Finally settling in, I spray it and a big red rose envelops me, dusted with finishing powder, accompanied by a smiling orange blossom, tinted with a sheer amber and billowy musk. There is nothing loud and furious here: it won't burst through the walls of a room like the Kool-Aid Man hollering "oh yeah!" with you trailing behind it. However, it does assert itself, it has something to say, so to speak. If perfumes could talk, what would they say? The heart of the fragrance reminds me of rosy lychees in a light syrup, which is a good thing. I'll say yes to that. The dry down is limpid patchouli and the powder is more of a subtle trace.
