On the first spray and for the first few seconds, it smells like a bright cloud of rather spicy vanilla. After about 15 minutes, the fragrance settles down and becomes less “sharp”, although a touch of spiciness remains, and the tea and vanilla start to unfold together. My friends also notice a very distinct incense note, although for some reason I can’t really smell it on my own skin. I’m not usually a fan of incense — it can actually make me feel a little nauseous — but the incense here is subtle enough that it doesn’t bother me. Overall, this fragrance feels like it was made for luxurious women. It’s rich, dense and slightly seductive, but still very elegant and within the bounds of decency. Perhaps the incense is what gives it that sense of restraint. I tend to wear this one for important, serious occasions, when I want to feel a little more like a confident, sophisticated woman.

Smooth edt non sweet Vanilla complex blend, a Vanilla study for me for now.

I was kind of unimpressed. I really wanted to like this, especially because it reminded me at first of Le Labo's Paris city exclusive, but it wore off extremely quickly and there's basically no projection. I know you can only expect so much for an EDT but I think this would require ridiculously frequent reapplication.

smells like burnt plastic and playdoh

i am a lover of all things vanilla and warm / sugary smelling. this has to be one of my most favorite vanilla perfume i own thus far and i truly don’t think anything else will top it. it comes off very woody / spicy / balsamic at first but when it settles the vanilla really comes through and creates such a pretty symphony of flavors !! it’s so sophisticated, elegant and delicious i ADORE the way it settles in the skin and lasts throughout the day. it’s a very refreshing and beautiful take on vanilla that i haven’t seen any other perfume houses master. love love love !! i also love layering it with the matcha 26 by le labo to lean into the woodyness or philosykos by diptyque to add a fruitiness to her <333

Interesting fresh, green take on vanilla.

An elegant vanilla with a light spicy edge - well blended - not cloying.

Gorgeous vanilla scent, very similar to my beloved Hypnose. Eau Duelle is more spicy/aromatic and less sweet, which I would prefer if it didn't have such poor longevity. Having both seems redundant and considering the performance and price points, I will stick with Hypnose.

Feels like escaping into the woods for a weekend with no phone, no internet, & no worries. Just trees, a log cabin, and cozy blankets as you curl up next to the fireplace with a good book. This perfume was woody and soft on my skin. It's a little spicy and a little musky. The vanilla is subtle, which surprised me because I thought this was going to be more sweet than it actually is. I get more of the vanilla as it dries down. It's just very cozy and nice to wear. I reach for this whenever I feel stressed or want to be comforted. It's warm and quiet and calming and the effect is nice.

Lovely smell more likely for woman but if you use it as a vanilla base can be really good

Lovely, light, sophisticated vanilla. Nice but boring. The EDP has a little more intrigue with the incense note, while still being simple and pretty. Excited to try these in cooler weather!

Анонім★★★★★

i thought this would be more different to the EDP but to me they are so so similar. the EDT is just a bit greener and lighter on the smokiness. its also sweeter but still not gourmand yay

You barely could smell it: way overpriced, smells like a very light Angelique noir . Your better off getting the Angelique noir or Chloe vanilla planifolia

The more I use this the more I fall in love with it. It's so fizzy and ethereal. On my skin I get more of the elemi than vanilla which I LOVE. However I just can't justify getting a full bottle when the longevity is so poor. It fades after an hour and I can really only smell it when I put my nose to skin.

pretty similar to gypsy water, just more vanilla and spice forward. very good, will probably get a bottle for fall.

Semi-gourmand woody vanilla. It has a complex scent. A comforting, warm vanilla – absolutely lovely. 10/10

This is absolutely beautiful. If you love Babycat, Rifaqaat, Nayel Queen, or anything with that aromatic vanilla DNA, you're going to fall head over heels for this. To my nose, this feels like the elevated version of that profile... the smoother, better blended, more refined take on the DNA. It has that addictive mix of smoky woods, airy spices, and creamy vanilla that somehow manages to feel both cozy and sexy at the same time. Everything feels perfectly balanced. Nothing screams for attention, yet everything works together to create something incredibly intoxicating. It wraps around you like a cashmere sweater infused with warm vanilla and soft incense. If you already enjoy the Babycat family of fragrances, this will feel familiar, but elevated. Less sharp edges, more polish. Less noise, more luxury. I simply cannot stop smelling my wrist when I wear this. It's one of those fragrances that quietly pulls you in over and over again until you're completely obsessed.

Very interesting scent profile. I do get the walk in the pine woods like others, but with someone baking vanilla cake in there and another one throwing pink pepper at you. I also get witchy vibes, like opening a witches pantry full of ingredients to make different potions. Pink pepper and elemi stands out most in the beginning, but I do get the cardamom as well. I also get the Tic Tac dragée scent as others, but luckily it does leans more walk in the forest to me in the opening, but in the dry down in leans full on Tic Tac saliva for me, which is slightly nauseating.

I'm sure this would be great if I could detect it. Smells like a drop of vanilla extract someone spilled in a bathtub. On the bright side, there is nothing offensive about this whatsoever except for the price. Update: The EDP turns out to be far better. Gorgeous, airy, photorealistic vanilla beans. LOVE IT. Perfect for layering & adding a slightly sweet vanilla note to the vintage and green fragrances I adore without drowning them in heavy syrup & destroying their spirit. However, I do not know why anyone bothers w/ the edt for this particular fragrance. Ridiculous.

Starts off with a kind of fresh spicy top notes but dries down nicely to a sweeter, almost mahogany scent, like a more classy gourmand version of CK obsession that's been spilt in the draw of an old wooden cabinet, although that phase is somewhat short lived and it turns to fairly basic vanilla for the remainder of its longevity. It's okay but not stand out for the money or particularly unique, as I say it seems like a more refined version of something like obsession

The opening is very nice but it only lasts 5 mins before it’s dries down to a harsh scent in my skin which I can only describe as hay that has been under the sun for very long and smell little burnt. Then it vanishes after 30 mins. Pass

This is a pleasant surprise! I usually don’t like strong vanilla, gourmands and sweet scents, so when I received a free sample of Eau Duelle EDT, I just put it in the back of the drawer and moved on with my life. One day I was cleaning my perfume drawer to get rid of some scents that I never reach for, and I decided to give it a try before giving it away, and omg, I loved it! It’s spicy, powdery, musky and comfortable without being sweet, boring, or juvenile. It has a beautiful velvet and suede-like texture. It’s airy and smoky at the same time. For me it’s a cross-over between bdk creme de cuir without the citrus notes and ysl babycat without the amber note. This is really good! It’s love at first sniff ❤️

I so badly want to like this fragrance. The bottle is gorgeous and the notes sound heavenly... but it's just sickly tic tac to me. I'll probably keep trying.

Анонім★★★★★

I wish I could eat this fragrance. It smells like how I imagine a bowl of vanilla bean ice cream with sticks of fresh pine needles on top would smell. But I wouldn’t consider this gourmand. I found the EDP too incense-y and masculine but this is perfect. I’m currently dealing with the loss of a loved one and this perfume feels like a hug. I find it so comforting yet fresh.

This is such a beautiful magical scent. It smells like burning an incense in a maa Kali temple located deep in the woods with pine trees around while you also have a bunch of vanilla pods in your hand. Truly nothing else like it

Tame, lighter sister of Lune Feline (Atelier d'Ors) and YSL's Babysat. Resinous, balsamic - smells like you are visiting a sorcerer's house in deep forests in winter. Mysterious and very natural.

I'm halfway through my bottle and I'm just thinking about how this fragrance sometimes smells like pure vanilla, sometimes like pencil shavings and sometimes like gin. I guess it depends on the weather and mood. Anyway, to me it's one of the most beautiful fragrances, can't get enough.

Анонім★★★★★

So I got a sample of this and my first thought was, "Huh? Why does everyone love this so much?" I really didn't get it. There was nothing offensive about it per se, but nothing about it grabbed my attention either. Just wood resin and unsweet vanilla. Um, okay? I quickly tossed it back into the pile without a second thought. But I don't give up that easily so I kept trying. The first thing I noticed was that the drydown smells AMAZING. I started craving it. I started wearing it more often and liking it more and more each time and eventually I realized... oops I'm in love. It smells like a snowy pine/fir forest on a cold winter's day. There's something slightly melancholic about it. Kinda reminds me of my dad (rip). The vanilla here is so cozy and comforting and SO addicting, but not too sweet. I'm not a big vanilla person but this has piqued my interest and now I really want to explore more non-gourmand vanillas. I want to categorize this as a fall/winter fragrance but it's honestly light enough to be used all year round, except for the hottest summer days. This thing has me in a chokehold and I want all my clothes and my entire life to smell like this. A+ must buy full bottle immediately.

Анонім★★★★★

I've gone through so many samples of this and have the EDP, but every time I smell it again it feels like the first time. It's so addicting and light, what a beautiful woody vanilla. Very soft and airy. I really enjoy Angelique Noire too, although it's much greener (and it's the first time my boss has ever complimented my perfume, so it gets bonus points for that...)

every day light sweet spicy vanilla very lovely
