Simply gorgeous! Long last vanilla mix that stands out! So womanly sexy and cozy wrapped in one!
I have a decant from the shop of this one; at first spray I disliked it, but then I was impressed on how much good it is. Also, performance on me is good, 4hours! I recommend this one but I don't consider it a safe blind buy. By wearing this perfume, it was the first time I got compliments ✨
Don't buy this for ridiculous amounts just because it's discontinued, got a sample and it smells exactly like Yves Rocher's Cuir de Nuit. 1 to 1. Furthermore, it smells a lot like Amika haircare products, so if you have those available where you're at, buy them and your hair will smell for days.
Matiere Premiere Vanilla Powder is a "modern", watered down version of this masterpiece. If you desperately need a dupe. MP lacks the spice and has no ginger, other than that, they are cousins when we meet at the dry down. Underrated gem, saddly rare and discounted. Good I have a 50ml bottle and a 30ml backup.
This settled into a lovely rose-vanilla fragrance with subtle spice. I like rose. I like vanilla. But I don’t like them combined. I can see why others do, though. If you like floral vanillas, you may really like this! Edit: The more this dried, the more I liked it!
I am in love with this one... owned a bottle from 5 years ago... and the juice color became super dark and the scent event becoming richer and deeper... I even already have 2 back up bottles, knowing that this gorgeous cheapy already discontinued... Its underrated,, waayyy below the radar... Sad.... Actually this perfume offers a very great scent, expensive smelling powdery vanilla with perfect spiciness, the performance also 8/10 for me (considering the price range) and it has a super cute bottle... Its perfect for warm weather but not cloying to wear on sunny day... TBH, now I am thinking about ot the vanillic character somehow reminds me on Guerlain Angelique Noire 😅 only remind me of... I guess the heliotrope is the one that play the powdery character... the vanilla is far away from being gourmand-ish... the woody notes and the ginger giving the perfect warmth to it... I am in love... yet sad because its been discontinued
Beautiful perfume! I am not a huge fan of vanilla, but this one really impressed me. Sweet, spicy and powdery vanilla, smells expensive for its price. I am disappointed that designer brands don't release such perfumes anymore.
Sadly it's discontinued, but I found it yesterday in a perfume shop near my house ... And it was on sale!!! 😍 So, for me it isn't a vanilla perfume; it's more complex, it'a a sweet floral scent, with a powdery, vanillic undertone. I can't smell any similarity with Kenzo Amour; it rather seems to me like a lovely son of Flower Kenzo and Tresor Lancome, with extra vanilla and powdery notes! It's so beautiful and long lasting, it's suits so well my tastes right now. I'm so happy to have found a 50 ml bottle of this one ❤️.
I bought this because the flacon looked solid and unique in the picture, and when it arrived it’s exactly so. The glass bottle is heavy, and the stopper is massive! The scent itself, nothing really special. Just a nice woody vanilla enhanced by delicious heliotrope. I couldn’t smell rose and pink pepper here. It actually reminds me a bit of Raghba but without oud. Less creamy-lactonic version of Kenzo Amour. Not bad. I’ll keep it because of the flacon.
Vanilla! Yummy!
Something new at home 🌧️🍂🍁 beautiful autumn vanilla cake 🥧 I can imagine wearing it during Christmas 🎄🎁
This is so similar to Jo Malone Vanilla & Anise though Vanilla & Anise is just a tad bit toned down. If you have one you don’t need the other.
I like the bottle it is quirky and looks cool amongst my collection. This is surprisingly a really nice vanilla, just doesn't last on my skin as it is super affordable I do not mind respraying.
My experience with Want is very similar to Eternity Girl's review below, I only blind-bought one bottle thankfully. It starts out nice enough, pretty straightforward vanilla but then devolves into a weird bitter smell that I have to scrub off! No sir, I don't like it.
I am so sad this perfume is discontinued. On me it smells like pure vanilla extract or vanilla beans mixed with a hint of red rose. Deep and sexy, while remaining inoffensive. One of the best perfumes I have ever smelled, with great longevity and sillage. A compliment getter for sure.
Blind buy for me. I was super confident I would adore Want. So confident I ordered 2 x 100ml bottles. Stupid me. Fail !! Very powdery heliotrope vanilla which should be gorgeous but its just wrong on me. The vanilla is like a vanilla extract concentrate which is good but doesnt work with the heliotrope, which is a note I usually love. Its slightly medicinal which isnt necessarily a bad thing but the whole thing is a mess on me. Im disappointed it doesn't work as I want to love Want. I do adore the wacky billiard ball lid. The thick gold band that wraps around the bottle with the named stamped into it is great. The whole bottle is weighty and substantial which I like. The longevity is quite poor, doesnt linger more than 2 hours tops. I wish I had ordered the Ginger one particularly as its very hard to come by now.
Purchased a bottle of this as it has been compared to a few of my favourites (blind buy for a relatively cheap price). This has me really confused..... I love the vanilla and I love the soapy, clean smell but both of them together in one bottle? I'm wearing it now and I didn't want to scrub it off, which is a good thing, but I need to test it a few more times before I make my mind up. Will update.
Vanilla heaven. The dry down is gorgeous! The vanilla reminds me of those small vanilla sugar packages that you add into your batter when you make a cake. Its my winter scent and strangely...i get a lot of compliments when i wear it and even ask what perfume it is...
Someone noted that Wanted smells like a combination of a vanilla gourmand and soap powder and I agree. Good performance in this bottle if the scent floats your boat. And if you are looking for a plastic golf ball, the cap on this bottle might work. I don’t hate this scent but it’s not a love either. Dry down does get smoother but most scents do. Underwhelmed, a pass.
Maybe my nose is tricking me, but I'd say this is a mix of Joop Le Bain and Kenzo Flower (rather than Amour). I do get vanilla, but it's not just all about that, at least on my skin. Ps. I tossed the cap and put Katy Perry Indi's cap on as that one simply just fitted. Still not pretty, but anything better than that ridiculous bowling ball!
It's not a bad fragrance. I own pink ginger, which in my eyes (to my nose) is much more enjoyable. Any time I could reach for this, pink ginger is always preferable. Therefore, the only time it ever gets any love is when I'm trying to force myself to enjoy it more. But every time, I can't help thinking about how pink ginger is much better...edit: I agree with the above reviewer, somehow this is gourmand and soapy! Normally I love Rose but maybe it's the rose in this combo that amps up the soapiness. Pink ginger doesn't have that soapy note, and is more gourmand.
I'm so confused and disappointed. Out of every note listed here, the only thing my skin is pulling when I wear this is rose. A heavy, powdery, headache-inducing rose. No ginger, no citrus, no boozy, cozy vanilla, though it does soften after the first half hour. Somewhere underneath, I can sense a whisper of Kenzo Amour, as other reviewers have mentioned - I do love Amour and have a bottle in my collection I have enjoyed for years. This doesn't perform on my skin the way Amour does. I was so sure this was going to be a slam dunk and I've never been more glad I chose the sample vial over a full bottle blind buy.
Opens like TF Noir Pour Femme and dries like Kenzo Amour. I hate to write such a reductive review for a perfume I’ve started to wear quite often, but there is not much else to say. A good buy if you like vanilla, and you can find it pretty cheap.
Soft, fairly intimate scent, gentle vanilla, a little flowers, very soft blonde woods but no pencil shavings , similar sort of feel to Estée Lauder Sensuous or Lancome Tresor. Gets stronger the longer you wear it
Saw the notes, decided to buy. Not disappointed. Sophisticated, warm and powdery vanilla, not a sticky-trashy version of it. Noticeable by the crowd. I wear it during winter but also on summer nights, I like how it lays on hot skin.
I used to wear it everyday at university and some people would get pissed and others would wait for me just to smell me😂it is pretty strong on me and I love both that one and of course Pink ginger 👌 these two are like my secret weapon when I want to get noticed the silage is amazing I literally fill a room and people know where I am in the building(I'm not going to be dramatic when I say the elevator smells like me for at least half an hour)
This really is a lovely, grown up bourbon vanilla scent for those of us who don't like saccharine, sweet, vanillas. And although It does border on sweet, the woody notes come out to play, later on in the dry down, with subtle hints of rose and ginger coming through. But only ever so slightly. I had hoped for more ginger and pink pepper in general, but both the Madagascar vanilla and vanilla absolute, keep this scent pretty linear and one dimensional, as that is a lot of vanilla in one scent. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing in itself; if you love vanilla. In a way, Want reminds me of Le Parfum by Lalique but without the polarising bay note, some people find offensive. And it also reminds me of Eau de Missions by Le covenant, which I absolutely adore. Not to mention Chopards Casmir, which I find dated, cloying and heavy compared to this.
This is a GOR-GE-OUS vanilla fragrance! It is extremely warm and sensual to me, and is enough to satisfy my craving for Kenzo Amour. In fact....I think I prefer this to that. It is such a rich, pure vanilla, with some beautiful woody notes to ground it. It's not an edible sweet sugary vanilla really, but more of the vanilla extract type of scent. Bit more serious and ladylike. I think I smell the sweetness from the rose and orange...maybe some of the ginger as well? Though I think the ginger here is slightly more subdued by the pink pepper, which contributes greatly to this as being a sexy scent. My bf really likes this and he's really picky with fragrance. I absolutely love this, so much so that I got the Pink/Ginger flanker of it immediately after I got this (will do a separate review on that, but simply put it's a more refreshing spin on Want). This one is so rich and deep, that I kind of want to say it's balsamic even though that's not listed in the accords. It also lasts a long time on the skin and clothes, I'd say about 5 hours of good silage before it starts to settle down. So beautifully blended and smells rich and luxurious! I just love it (can you tell?). If you can find it, by all means do test it out :)
I agree with objections below, this is very much Roses dipped in icing sugar to me with vanilla and heliotrope mixed in, I get no wood at all surprisingly , or any of the other notes for that matter. It’s mellow and smooth and cozy, with moderate sillage and longevity, a good versatile one to wear which wouldn’t shout or offend anyone. Reading all the reviews below I find it so interesting how different it comes across on people’s skin. It’s very much a cold weather scent, casual and feminine- and I believe it has recently been discontinued .
