What do you mean this is y'all's wedding perfume?? All I smell is a sharp cat pee and my will to live evaporating into the air.
Very soft and feminine. It has since it was launched always reminded me of the color white, and something a summer bride would wear :)
Too much patchouli for me, it over-powers the florals that I like. All I smell is patchouli :( It seems most others get the florals, wish I did too.
My wedding day fragrance in 2012. This beautiful scent will forever hold a special place in my heart and in perfume collection. Elegant, sophisticated and unique.
My first designer perfume I had just bought with my adult money. Currently searching for bridal perfume that matches my personality and my wedding theme, and I don't dissapoint myself. With orange blossom opening and dry down honey and jasmine, I only think this perfume can be worn whimsily (is that even a word?). I imagine a field full of wildflowers and bees (like alice in wonderland world), wear dress, and dance turning around. I love it. Gotta save it for my special day.
Le Parfum is one of those fragrances that reminds me why I fell in love with perfume in the first place. In a world filled with increasingly sweet gourmands and fragrances that smell like desserts, Le Parfum feels timeless. It opens with a beautiful fresh floral quality that immediately feels elegant and feminine without ever becoming 'old-fashioned'. The orange blossom is the star of the show on my skin, supported by a bouquet of white florals that feel refined rather than overpowering. What I love most about this fragrance is its effortless beauty. It doesn't need to shout for attention. It simply smells polished, graceful and incredibly well put together. As it develops, it becomes softer and warmer, while maintaining its floral heart throughout. Having recently compared it side by side with Lumière, I was surprised by how different they felt. While Lumière is brighter, more citrusy and more radiant, the original Le Parfum feels more floral, romantic and classically feminine. They share the same DNA, but each has its own personality. Le Parfum is the fragrance I reach for when I want to feel elegant. It's beautifully balanced, easy to wear and never seems to go out of style. To me, this is modern classic perfumery at its best.
I’ve worn this fragrance since it hit the market about 15 years ago. One of my forever favorite white florals. I buy new scents all the time, but come back this beauty every year. Just purchased a new bottle to wear this summer.
This fragrance is so radiant, it's piercing. But I wouldn't have it any other way. I adore the sharp, sweet concord grape facet of the orange blossom in this. It's unapologetically joyful, and anything but stupid. Between the neon glow of the white flowers and the contemporary cedar-patchouli base lies the most beautiful honey bridge. It's so realistic, I can hear the bees buzzing. I find this fragrance feminine coded almost to the point of caricature. But because of its legible structure, it reads more as modern commentary on femininity rather than cliche. A staple in my collection for happy, extroverted days.

The Architecture of Light: Elie Saab Le Parfum The world does not simply wake; it ignites. There is a moment at the peak of the morning when the shadows of the city retreat, surrendering to a white, blinding brilliance. This is the realm of Elie Saab Le Parfum—a fragrance not merely bottled, but woven from the very fibers of the sun. The Solar Ascension The journey begins with an explosion of Orange Blossom. This is not the dusty flower of the earth; it is an electric efflorescence, crystalline and ethereal, captured at the exact second it meets the light. It is a surge of pure, gilded energy that clears the "blur" of the mundane, announcing your presence with the authority of a solar flare. The Ethereal Heart As the initial brilliance settles, the scent transforms into a sprawling, architectural Jasmine. It is the "Queen of the Night" forced into the day, its intoxicating, creamy sweetness rendered translucent. It feels like silk catching the wind—a Sanctuary of Grace that floats above the noise. You don’t merely enter a space; you transcend it, draped in a silhouette of light. The Ambered Horizon The dry-down is where the light finds its anchor. A syrupy, Solar Honey melds with the structural strength of Cedarwood. It is a "gilded" embrace that lingers on the skin like the memory of heat. This is the scent of absolute radiance—a honeyed trail that ensures that wherever you go, the light follows. Elie Saab Le Parfum. Luminous. Absolute. Iconic. Step out of the shadows. Become the Sun.
U guys don’t know how well blended and balanced this becomes once u layer it with gucci bamboo One of my favorite layerings for ever They just pair soo well like a 1 scent Bamboo gucci is a creamy airy citrusy lily Le parfum is honeyed orange blossom with patchouli and jasmine The light creaminess from bamboo tones down Any sharpness or masculinity from le parfum
Unfortunately the patchouli in this is all that clung to my skin. From the initial spray onward, it was so prominent that only hints of a quite dated floral composition came through - absolutely no honey or sweetness. I believe I may have smelled a similar scent on the ladies at church when I’d attend with my grandmother in the late 90s. Given the other glowing review I’d say this one is highly dependent on skin chemistry, but you can usually find it for nothing a bargain to be worth the risk.
This is an ultra sweet, INTENSE floral right out of the gate. Think Prada Paradox. The first few moments, I almost get a "grape soda" vibe. Sparkling, bubbly, and fruity-sweet. Then it turns into a strong, sweet clean laundry detergent smell. I'm back and forth on this, but honestly, it is nice. My bottle is about a year old and I get really nice longevity from this - over 6 hours easily with a light spray. The dry down of this reminds me a lot of the opening of Estee Lauder Tender Light... X100. I need a few more wears with this in the warmer months to decide if I'm keeping it in my collection. I definitely can see how this would be an excellent wedding perfume.
This is a great all round perfume and won’t offend anyone. The big problem with it for me is terrible longevity, within an hour it’s completely gone. For this reason I won’t repurchase.
Lovely, clean florals that linger six hours without a smidge of soapiness (I detest soapiness—it just flattens out a fragrance and shuts down any complexity with a THUNK, don’t you think?). Almost bridal in its celebration of jasmine, this is nonetheless a mature woman’s scent. A floriental, but not very heavy on the amber. (In fact—I would have liked even more grounding with the woods. (I like to layer with the teeniest, teeny-weeniest exhalation of Guerlain Oud Royal -way less than a full spray. Adds a bit of depth.) But even without the added dimension, this is a gorgeous, lush offering. Shares DNA with Chanel Coco (call me Grandma, I’ll live).
I like this perfume. But I have to be honest, it is not special at all. It is a perfume I wear for occasions that are simple, but still recquire us to be put together. I wear it in not so special occasions, because I don't want to use up my favourite fragrances. This perfume is very feminine. I smell vanile in it, although it is not listed in the ingredients list. The honey note is very present. I'd not buy it again. It is an ok fragrance, feminine, but too simple.
I usually love Ellie Saab perfumes but this one is so sickly. It's beautiful when you first spray it on with a burst of Orange flower. Within the first hour the top note has blended into the rest of the notes and there are too many strong, clashy notes.
Le Parfum by Elie Saab is now considered a modern classic of perfumery. If I had to describe it in three words, I would use: bright, sunny and elegant. Created by the genius of Francis Kurkdjian, this perfume manages to translate the aesthetics of the Lebanese designer's high fashion clothes into olfactory sensations: impalpable fabrics, Mediterranean light and regal femininity. As soon as you spray it, you're hit by an explosion of African Orange Blossoms. It's not the pungent smell of citrus, but a clean, almost golden scent, reminiscent of a sunny afternoon in a Mediterranean garden. After a few minutes, the Jasmine (both Grandiflorum and Sambac) takes over. It is a creamy, noble and very persistent jasmine, which gives the fragrance its "ultra-feminine" character. The magic happens in the finale. White Honey envelops the flowers making them sweet but never "sugary". Patchouli and Cedar give structure and an almost earthy depth, preventing the scent from becoming too ethereal and ensuring exceptional longevity. It is a fragrance for those who love white flowers and want to feel sophisticated. Despite being a "commercial" perfume, it has the quality and complexity of a niche fragrance. It is a perfume that smells of "clean luxurious" and light. Small style note: If you are looking for something darker or mysterious, this might be too "light" or sunny for your tastes.
As a person who is starting out with their fragrance journey, I was excited to receive a free sample of this when I purchased another item from a department store. I felt like I was becoming a more adventurous, fearless version of myself by trying this perfume from a brand that I'd never heard of before. When I tried it on, I no longer felt bold. In fact, I felt the opposite way. This is a smell that I've encountered in the wild before. A smell that I'd typically associate with women that frequent country clubs, boarding house "dorm mothers" and people's grandmas. A safe smell that reminds you of how loved and cared for you are. I can't exactly put my finger on what makes this perfume feel so mature to my olfactory senses - perhaps it's the indolic notes of orange blossom and jasmine? The woody, musky character of the patchouli base note? I'd like to do a study related to correlating trends shared by all "old lady" perfumes, but that means I'd have to go out and smell "old lady" perfumes, and I'd rather not subject my nose to that. Ultimately, this fragrance serves as a reminder that I am still young and that I have so much more of life to experience.
Classy compliment getter but nothing beats the edt.
This is a sleeper. When I read that it was from the master perfumer Francis Kurkdijian, and it was so reasonably priced, I had to try it. I sniffed it and was delighted. It opens strongly sweet and floral, which I love. Within a few minutes, the jasmine appears and stays apparent through the scent journey. This is unapologetically feminine and is a keeper for me. I can't wait to try the other fragrances from this perfume house.
All I get is jasmine with a hint of honey, mostly jasmine, really. It’s lovely and well done. I have a sample and I don't see myself buying a full bottle.
I am wearing this BEAUTY right now and it is just angelic! I had a small bottle, travel spray, for quite a while sitting in a drawer. The cedar is coated in honey, it registers somewhat like vanilla bourbon! There's a gentle hint of patchouli and flowers, a mix of them where it's impossible to distinguish the rose from the jasmine, at least on me. This is a fantastic fragrance, projecting at 3 ft and yet not too in your face - if you like scents like Shalimar, Grand Soir, for sure you'll like this too! Give it a try, it's SOOO smooth, classy and sassy. If you want to turn things a notch up in classiness, layer some rose scent on it. I used Stella Nude and the result is suave!
A beautiful honey fragrance for sure. It was on my list to buy, until i had it on me today. Very floral, bright, elegant. It's well done, if these are your favorite flower trails, you will adore it. For me personally, it didn't turned out to be what i wished for.. sadly, neither on paper or on skin. Just a bit " mature" and it reminds me of anyone between 40-50 wearing it amazingly at a Golf Club or a Charity Fund Event. A put together woman, that still has sweetness and grace and beauty. How i immagined it goes a little like this: All of a sudden i was driving a wagon now empty of my kids, all grown up, thriving in different countries or states, being happy and loving. I'm still a beautiful lady, older man compliment me and notice me, my husband loves me and we still flirt. But the only thing i get excited about is planning my holidays in the same location for the last 20 years, and hosting sunset dinners in my outdoor pathio and garden. I would love that for me, maybe in 20 years, just not yet ! Perfect Gift for a Mom, Auntie, Grandma, business associate, secretary that has loved you and cared for you all these years and always restores the yogurt and granola you like in the office fridge. Buy her flowers and tell her she's beautiful ! I'm hoping the intense version redeems my expectations, otherwise i'll come back in 20 ! :)
It does not smell like a grandma unless you are very young and into stripper club scents or celebrity chewing gum ones. I love it. I am 42 btw and a mum. I bought a bunch of testers and decided to buy another one (Amo Ferragamo, Per Lei) as a big bottle, but I still have this as a tester and wore it again yesterday. It is so lovely i will soon purchase a big bottle of it. I don't even want to try the flankers as I can see from the descriptions and reviews that they probably are more cloying and smell cheaper. Elie Saab Le Perfum is perfect for the office but also any kind of family gatherings, restaurant visits etc. It is sophisticated, floral and smells like you are a woman, perhaps suitable for all ages of women who wants to smell put together and capable.
This perfume gets such positive reviews, and I wasn't expecting it to smell so much like a grandma. I completely agree with the reviewer LordLor below.
elegant and ssweet, not intrusive, seductive and strong. Not yummy but sweet seductive
I adore this fragrance ! So beautiful, elegant and feminine, while also being sophisticated. It’s the perfect signature scent. It’s one of those fragrances that would be appropriate for any occasion. It’s not overly unique yet universally appealing. At least to me; it’s exactly the kind of fragrance I like! It’s floral, clean, warm and fulfills all the aspects I look for! If you’re looking for an affordable alternative, try Daily by New brand. I have one on each hand and it’s very close, just a bit lighter and doesn’t last as long, but is easy to find on Jomashop and super affordable so you can carry a decant! Armaf’s edition one is similar but my nose can see a distinct difference. Hope that helps.
Elie Saab - Le Parfum has a rather sharp citrus/spicy opening. Unfortunately for me, this smells like flash lemon floor cleaner/bug spray and pepper. The pepper (apparently a note from gardenia) dies down, and then you are left with an eye-wateringly citrusy, and heady floral mix of the jasmine and orange flower, backed onto some cedar which is quite resinous. The floral mix is quite strong, and a little 'old' feeling. The sillage, projection and strength of the scent are excellent, but I can also imagine people finding it quite heady/cloying. Not a summer scent. Interestingly I also have Elie Saab La Lumiere, and I like this one better. I'm not sure what about that balance is better than this, perhaps its just a bit lighter. I re-sprayed this onto skin today, and I like it more on skin than on test strip. You have to be prepared for this to be a peppery/spicy scent, but the citrus is less astringent on skin than on paper. This is a bold/full bodied scent with no half measures, but its growing on me for taking more time with it. I struggle with the idea of this being a scent for a blushing bride. This scent is bold, spicy, and veering unisex.
A really exceptional fragrance. SO well-blended! White flowers and honey take center stage, variously amped up and tamped down by the supporting players: patchouli, rose, and Virginia cedar. I can't imagine a better merger of what's best about perfumery past and present. Thank you, @FrancisKurkdjian and @ElieSaab, for this wondrous bottle.
