25.June 2025 We have parted our ways today, so I thought i would write a few lines about this little thing. I will start by saying that i really like the Flora original eau de parfum and eau de toilette with black lids and golden letters on either black or white sticker. The other ones not so much. I already reviewed the "anniversary edition" in a beautiful bottle, but the fragrance itself was not as good. This "eau fraiche" sadly will not get my praises as well, since to my taste it is too sharp, for the lack of better words. It is like the "Flora" but with extra citruses and green notes added, and that is what ruins it for me. The creaminess and beautiful flower bouquet is gone here. All i smell is a watery peony with overdose of bergamote, very basic scent in my opinion and has nothing to do with original. If out of all "reminds me of" i could choose, then i would say its the closest to Versace´s "Yellow diamond" - they share same vibe and feeling. Sadly with "Flora eau fraiche" lasting power is not good, as many mentioned before, yet sillage is quite ok.
This is my go-to spring/summer fragrance! It's so fresh and bright, perfect for daytime wear. The citrus notes are really prominent at first, then it settles into a lovely floral scent with a hint of sweetness. It lasts a decent amount of time too, which is always a plus.
a fairy emerging from a flower, in the early morning spring dew. missing this scent. it was one of the first real fragrances i was gifted when i was 15 years old.
Quite lovely florals, but not distinctive.
I'm not usually a floral fan but this one caught my attention! However, while the scent is amazing, it is also very weak and does not last long (maybe an hour or two). Carrying this in your purse for a refresher is a must. The dry down is nice and leaves an almost flirty floral scent. I love using it during the summer especially! Very hard to find as I believe it has been discontinued but I found mine at Stoneberry.
This is my signature scent. I have been wearing this perfume literally since it came out! That's over 12 years living with it and it has never failed me to mesmerize me with every spritz. If you do not like green, chypre scents, then this is not for you. This is my signature scent year round, but it SHINES in the summer on a VERY hot day. On my skin, this pulls very green aquatic with slight floral notes, sandalwood and very light pink pepper pop out at the end. I can definitely pinpoint the peony, lemon, bergamot and aquatic notes upon first spray. Once it settles and dries on your skin, GREEN comes out, I think due to the osmanthus being a bit creamy and aromatic, however it remains calm and comes out as more of a sage green as opposed to kelly green. The sandalwood hides until the very end but is what keeps your nose coming back for more. The pink pepper keeps it only very slightly spicy and is very well blended, the patchouli in this is very well blended as well as you can barely pick it up. Sandalwood keeps the scent from being too cloying and the patchouli keeps it earthy. If I were to describe this smell, it would be like relaxing in the horizon on a hot summer's day, lying in a healthy bed of grass with your eyes closed, and the wind blowing against your skin. As you inhale, you catch whiffs of the salty ocean breeze, the vapors from the water hitting the shore tickling your nose. There is a bit of petrichor as it may rain in a couple of days, so the grass, leaves and trees are dewy and moist. You sniff the air and it smells wet and dry at the same time. You smell warmth and coolness all at the same time. The cool aroma of the ocean and the earthy scents of the forest intertwine as you sip an ice cold limoncello(garnished with a fresh lemon peel) under the sun and the shade all at the same time. You would like every summer day to be like this. Both uplifting and grounding all at the same time. I imagine this to smell like an ideal Italian summer day. This is what I enjoy smelling like every single day. I will continue to buy and wear this scent forever!
This perfume smells squeaky clean. Great for right out of the shower but not what I want to smell like all day.
Opened up with a less than famiiliar citrus, and in a few seconds transformed into obvious osmanthus 'tea' scents with water notes. Pepper slowly emerges. It's pretty unique! Took a while for it to grow on me...
This smells exactly like Chanel Chance the green one. The dry down is like the Chanel chance eau tendre. Is fresh, green, and light it last longer than Chanel chance imo.
it's not all that. Pass. Though not for me, I felt no need to scrub it off and it turns into a skin scent within a couple hours, anyway. which is fine with me. I don't need to invite all my perfumes to spend the night. You just have to try and see if it suits you. . It did remind me of Kristalle < sp>? Chanel. a little bit. not my cup of tea. Like most of them. I will stop looking soon and be thankful for the handful that are in my rotation.
This is amazing and so unique! This to me is an expensive tropical weather daytime scent that can do well on any occasion. It can work in colder weather too as a clean crisp answer to the chilly winds but, the warm weather is where it really performs. For me the sillage is just about okay but, the longevity is on point. A definite love for me, this.
It is like for me not love. Actually even if it is not heavy , it gives me a little headache. It can be suitable general taste and any women over the age of 20 can use. Not fresh but it can be used in office areas. Edit: this perfume is very very bad on my skin, for a reason I don't know my headache has increased gradually. However my comment above is still valid because on my friend's skin this perfume is good.
This is the most beautiful scent in the world. It's just happiness in a bottle, it's perfection. Flora Eau de Parfum is not available in the stores anymore, which is why I purchased this version instead. They also removed Gucci Eau de Toilette and renamed Flora Eau Fraiche so it's now Gucci Flora Eau de Toilette. It's a bit confusing. EDP is still available online but not in the boutiques. The Eau de Toilette is completely gone. Eau Fraiche is now Eau de Toilette and is still available everywhere. Thank God. I'm just thankful since this version is still strong for an EDT. It's incredible! Short story. I wore it for the whole day and was cuddling with a guy in the evening. When he left he wrote me later that evening that he could smell my perfume on himself. So the fragrance lasted for 10+ hours and even transferred to his skin and clothing! That's actually insane for any perfume and mostly for an EDT! I love both EDP and EDT, they are almost identical. EDP has always been my signature and my true love fragrance for a long time. I just couldn't find it anywhere for a period of time, so I had to go with this one, which is totally fine! You can't really tell them apart. EDT is just slightly more fresh but still has good performance! Edit: This version lasts longest on my skin. I've been wearing both EDP and this for some days now, and this one wins in performance, which is weird but amazing since it's cheaper and fresher, which I love.
I love this one. Green and slightly sweet, better than Flora, much fresher. So so sad can't find her anymore. So I spritz her sparengly. Soft, feminine for special moments.
Very sharp. On myself, the pink pepper and mint are the strongest notes. Unlike the other reviews, this perfume is not at all fruity on me but more of a zingy-soapy.
This was a blind buy for me and a very successful one at that! I am hooked! I opened the box and couldn't stop saying wow with every sniff. Crisp, fresh, fruity. As it hung out on my skin for the rest of the day I smelled some soapiness which was really nice and clean, it mingled with the fruity freshness super well. Next came the dry down which smelled a teeny bit less fresh, more powdery and woody floral with the fruity freshness. Longevity is phenomenal, silliage is moderate and projection is moderate also. With every move of my body, this scent comes to life again and a beautiful sparkly feeling enters my soul. Outstanding scent. Definitely top 3 of all time for me.
Love the scent for every single second of the 3-4 hours it lasts on my skin. It is all things floral and springy. It’s not the most exclusive smelling floral fragrance on the shelf but its worth a sampling.
Frech and fruity. perfect for a hot summer day. nothing special.. but nice.
I wore this today and was very pleased with the performance. Much better than the original which I could not get to last on me at all. It’s been 7 hours and it’s still radiating. This smells like the original but fresher and greener.
I am a perfume addict and am constantly blind buying bottles based on reviews of others (bc I live in a remote town with literally no shopping). I have collected over 300 beautiful perfumes. I had to write a review on this because I am pretty unlucky with it. I bought the biggest bottle, just knowing I would love it, and then my mother gave me the biggest bottle for my birthday. Now I have two huge bottles and I will never wear this. I usually love many styles of perfume; fruity floral to rose oud and niche perfume. This one, however, I do not at all understand the good reviews. I try and try and keep hoping that one of these times smelling it, i will have a change of heart (which has happened before with other frags). No luck. In my opinion, this smells like the most basic generic boring perfume I can even imagine. To my nose, there is nothing at all appealing about the scent, and I have smelled this a thousand times before... at Target or Walmart. Gucci used to be so great, but now I do not love any of their newer releases. They are all weak, boring, and nondescript. This one takes the cake of boring. I won't even wear this around the house because I would rather break out my celebrity frags for the day that smell so much better. After discovering how boring I think this one happens to be, I ordered a few more by Gucci, just to see if it was a fluke. Gucci Envy, which was also highly rated, was better than this, but still boring and nondescript. I ended up returning my bottle of Bamboo. Someone gave me (once again) TWO of the biggest bottles of Gucci II EDP. To my nose, this one was the best Gucci I have smelled...ever. Not weak, has moderate sillage and also acceptable longevity. Don't even mind having to reapply thru the day, as it was pretty inexpensive for what the juice smells like. Even though I like Gucci II the best, I still don't ever reach for it. I don't love it. Just for some reference, my all-time favorite is Chloe. Not the old Chloe, which is REAL gross, and I gave away the day I received it, but the newer version in the square/rectangle bottle. Both EDP and EDT are so awesome that I could cry. I hope I didn't offend anyone as that is not my intention. I just want to be as honest as I can be to hopefully stop a blind buyer with MY type of taste from wasting money. Another house that seems pretty basic and boring, but I bought them all anyway, is Versace. Maybe I am different than everyone else, but I am curious if there is anyone that feels the same way that I feel about the two houses?
This is so pretty. I know that fruity florals seem to be especially common right now, but that doesn't mean they can't be good. I actually really like fruity florals, because I find them refreshing and versatile. This one stands out in my mind from other fruity florals (and I've tried quite a few), because it doesn't have an artificial or metallic, cheap after-smell at all (a problem I've had with lesser quality fruity floral scents). The water note makes it more distinctive, in my opinion. It elevates it to a more airy, happy, ephemeral, cheery scent. One problem I have with some (not all) fruity florals is that they feel more like perfumed water to me...not in terms of longevity or sillage (although that too) but the scent itself. I don't consider myself a fan of stronger, more intense fragrances, but whenever I try the newest Daisy flanker (don't know which one, I swear, they churn out a new one every hour) or another fruity floral, the presence just seems to not be there at all. I always end up forgetting what it smells like immediately after I spray it, because it seems to disappear immediately. In two hours, I'd be lucky if I could get even a slight sniff of a simpering whisper of sugar water from my wrist. And by nature, fruity florals are supposed to be light and airy, so a lot of those scents end up not having any mileage or presence at all. Gucci Flora Eau Fraiche avoids those pitfalls, though. I could spray it in the morning, and in the afternoon, when I'm walking in the breeze, I'd still smell it on myself, which is highly impressive, given it's an EDT. It's a huge compliment getter too, and very likable. I just spray it twice (I don't want to be the one person who oversprays) and it's lovely.
After many years, I once again get the 75ml of this Gucci beauty. The water-fruit acord is airy, yet stays for eternity. This reminds me of the many great and wonderful times I had in life, and smelling this makes me relive those moments. Apart from Rush, this Flora flanker will forever be my love from the house of Gucci.
Bought this perfume several years ago. I fell in love with it as soon as I sniffed it. It’s a watery fresh floral fragrance that is great for summer. I recently gave it away to my mom though. Lasting power was zilch on me. I felt like I sprayed and thirty min later it was completely gone. I have so many other perfumes I wanna use up and this one was just collecting dust. It was pretty much full. My mom is very happy with it. I figured it would be perfect for her since she works in an office and the frag is definitely office safe.
My no 1 for hot summer. I love all the refreshment this fragrance provides. Like walking into a cold creek during an extremely hot day. You feel relaxed immediately. And that feeling stays long.
This is how I imagine edie sedgwick would smell, rich, glamorous, and beautiful, and also young and cool
This perfume keeps a long time. I got mine 5 yrs ago too and it's still in perfect condition and since it doesn't take much it's practually full still. Only the bow has stretched out and fallen off
This is the only perfume I own from Gucci since my aunt gave me this. I love a great packaging so I really love the hexagon bottle which makes it so elegant and sophisticated. The only con is, the bottle is too heavy for a 50ml. But of course, I'm not carrying it on my bag so it's no big deal. I'm not a fruity floral kind of girl. I'm into woody, musky perfumes. This one is definitely a fruity floral perfume. It smells very good but not amazing. It's absolutely an expensive fruity floral perfume when I smell it. More on the fruity side than the floral. I don't think I've smelled anything the same or close to it from the fragrance mists I've tried and smelled before. I was expecting it's more floral since it is labeled Flora. It smells strong for my liking but eventually I get used to it. It screams YOUTH to me. This is perfect for late teenagers or early twenties women with glowing carefree character. It smells like summer and spring with a touch of class and happiness to me, like an expensive potent fruity floral drink. I've used it once to school and I must say I'm very impressed with its sillage and longevity. I went to school at one in the afternoon until I got home at nine, it was still pretty strong. Overall, it smells very good but it's just not for me. Smell: 7/10 Sillage: 8/10 Longevity: 9/10
Talking about perfume in my country is not something to be happy looking the the price tag, so I bought EDT Eau Fraiche edition because i don't have enough money for EDP, so sad. Now is 2017 (was bought it in 2012), I still got my juice about 30% left. Just want to say about this perfume, so I'm very happy to wearing it specially for night and work, so fresh bright sweet flowery, bit harsh in the opening because of the citrus note, then flowers note taking part to make it so flowery with little touch of woodiness in the end. Sillage is moderate but longevity is amazing on me, 6 spritz is lasting to the evening, so unexpected.
Rubbery, lemony, refreshing, soapy. Somewhere there is artificial sweet fruits, floral notes. First 10 minutes there was something sharp that made my nose and throat scratch. Lasted about 2 hours. Even next day I could catch some moments with this fragrance. Very synthetic.
sooo uplifting and feminine. love it.
