"A fruity-floral summer fragrance that's pleasant and easy to wear, but it doesn't last long on my skin.
Okay, let’s be real. The initial spray? Pure alcohol blast. 💀 But give it 60 seconds to dry down… and it turns into the prettiest, lightest crisp apple scent. 🍏✨ It’s completely different from the original heavy Fancy—this one is just pure, airy, clean-shower vibes!
It doesn’t go with the rest of fancies. My least favorite of them. It’s shower like, fresh, powdery but lacks beautiful sweetness of the series.
It’s giving hairspray. A blind buy that is going straight to the declutter pile.
like walking into a bath and body work in 2017. starts off powdery, almost spicy. after a few minutes, it settles down to this floral, sweet smell. i can definitely get the hints of citrus, but very faintly. this is definitely for the ones sick with nostalgia!
Astringent apple. Not "soft and velvety" as stated in the copy above for their original promo. Effervescent but feels a little harsh. I demoted this to a room spray some time ago, but found that I liked the scent more than I thought. As it dries on my skin, it's juicy and bright. LOTV more than tuberose, but tuberose and sandalwood must be softening this. I pick up pear in the drydown. Not an easy reach. Passing by someone wearing this would probably smell very pretty! However, smelling this up close is fatiguing. Official verdict: I can't wear this. Great for handling the terrors of walking into a simmering public bathroom, but that's it for me. There is nothing easy about wearing this. On the plus side: there's nothing I've ever smelled similar to this, so it's unique for sure. A real flamethrower.
This smells remarkably similar to Chance Eau Tendre to my nose. That also has the initial hairspray smell. I also have Chants Tenderina by Maison Alhambra. This is also very similar to that. This however, is much smoother and more pleasant! It’s not my favorite scent profile but I can see the appeal. If you love Chance Eau Tendre and are looking for more affordable alternative, this would scratch that itch. It would be great for an easy daytime scent in the warmer months. It’s airy and bright! Very affordable too!
Rollercoaster of a perfume. Blind bought it because I love a pear-note and I've liked other Fancy flankers like Fancy Love. Initial scent reminds me of hairspray and Britney Spears' headache inducing perfume Curious. Suffice to say I felt some regret sink in. And then it developed into a clean scent, like you just stepped out of the shower. I pick up a watery, sweet, floral scent but with an energetic kick. That's an interesting twist that I appreciate. Would I buy it again? No. Frankly, I don't get the pear note as much as I hoped. And it isn't a groundbreaking scent. Will I wear it until the bottle is empty? Yes. It's a pleasant refresher in the afternoon on a hot summer's day. If you enjoyed Fancy or Fancy Love, this might be too squeaky clean and not sweet enough.
One of if not my favorite fresh, clean scent. Coming from a sweet, sweet, sweet lover and avoider of unisex fragrances, this is the most soul smoothing fresh scent ever. It is perfectly clean and sparkling with a sharp, yet cozy, sweet, watery fruit and sweet floral. I love to spray this after the shower, before bed, and before the gym.
I love this perfume and always want to own a bottle of it. I’ve worn it off and on for the past 10+ years. It is a light fresh-floral-fruity, clean smell. This is one I can get away with wearing in the office, good for every day wear. I always get compliments when I wear it.
It's a nice fresh and floral scent. I would say it's very clean and kinda almost like a fresh soap smell to it. At first the scent is strong but I feel that it doesn't stay on the skin or clothes that long so the scent is faded within a few hours but it's still good scent.
The sour smell goes away in heat and humidity. It’s more pear and water smelling.
Fresh, squeaky clean and strong. I love most of Jessica Simpson perfumes but this is not one of them.. something in it comes off very astringent and sharp and gives me an instant headache. I tried it repeatedly throughout a couple of years at different times of the year and still, instant headache.
Smells like you've had the best shower. I get freshly washed, shampooed hair and fruity clean bodywash. Lasts a few hours. Nothing ground breaking, just a universally pleasing sweet scent. I like it a lot! Great for hot summery days. Nice looking bottle and the price is really good. A solid cheapie!
I adore this scent! It is so fresh yet still feminine with the floral notes coming through. A very delicate fragrance yet it lasts all day on me and does project. I feel like the whole fancy line does a great job with spillage and longevity, especially for the price. I get mostly bergamot with just the tiniest bit of apple coming through on the initial spray. Hyacinth is my favorite flower and one I hardly ever see used in fragrances. It comes through here in such a lovely way. Lily of the valley is a note I tend to stay away from bc its easily overdone, like gardenia, but it works here! The rose isn’t too rosey or synthetic, just right. The florals pretty much stay through the whole dry down.
Fresh and citrusy. Reminds me a bit of Quatre by Boucheron. A great go-to fragrance for a hot day!
Smells like a pretty generic but pleasant citrus freshie. Nice especially in the summer but I was hoping to get more apple.
Extremely pleasant and comforting fresh and in same time light creamy scent. My favorite from Fancy fragrances line.
When i 1st tested it last month i could barely smell it but now that it sat after shipping it smells entirely different & stronger definately smell the fresh spiciness which I really like. Also a watery aqua type of smell. Its really neat faint hints of apple & pear yes, but the sprinkled spiciness reminds me of a fuzzy naval or static on cashmere, more effervescent than any cinnamon or peppery spice. Mild & pretty for anyday wear
Fresh, soapy, airy, all things delightful. Makes you feel clean and nicely put together. Perfect for bedtime or a beautiful spring day. Well blended notes.
Gave me a headache! Strong white floral and strong musk. Not fruity.
Jessica Simpson I Fancy You - This would be great for spring summer daytime as it smells clean and fresh with a slight spice. It smells bright, relaxing and energizing. Def on the femme side. A classic fresh white floral, which is starting to grow on me as I age. It smells like something from the Tocca line. A muted Britney Spears Curious. DKNY Be Delicious faint apple note. I don't think I detected any other fruit notes. It's a nice scent, but I feel like it could be easily duped. It would make a nice candle or body wash. I wouldn't buy the scent as perfume, but I would consider keeping it of gifted and was a small bottle. The bottle colour matches the scent well. I'm surprised more ppl don't love this scent. 30-40plus agreed women. Sits close to skin. Fair price at $25-45 for 100ml. I personally wouldn't pay more that $20 for it. I still prefer the original Fancy and it doesn't seem to fit into the flanker line IMO. It lasts a decent amount of time at 6 hours
My favorite of JS’s Fancy perfumes. Fresh, powdery, musky and inoffensive floral scent that’s perfect for the office in the springtime.
Beautiful Bottle! Enjoyable juice—perfect for all seasons…works well for spring! I Fancy You is a fresh and clean floral that makes you feel fresh out of the shower with each spray. The dry down mixes with your chemistry to create a subtle, animalic musk, all your own. This one has a more sophisticated edge to it. In that, it can be worn to church, and other day events that you may have to dress up for. In my opinion, I Fancy You is great for any age, especially for the young woman who is just starting out needing a great, inoffensive fragrance for interviewing.
I was going through my perfumes and sprayed this to refresh my memory. Immediately, a white floral impression came to my mind. The immediate intro like most fragrances is fleeting, then the fruity notes appear then disappear. I smell the lily and now the tuberose is appearing from behind. This is a nice clean musky floral. Nice in warmer weather or anytime you just want a nice fresh floral.
One of my fav fancies! This is clean, fresh and sparkly. Giving me BS Curious vibes which is a fav of mine because there is a sharpness that radiates & gets attention. I definitely get a lot of Apple, bergamot, hyacinth and tuberose. I think This will be another great daily wear for me. I like fancy love but the OG fancy is just too sweet. I’ll keep this fancy in my collection! PS: that first spray is like burnt plastic! No clue why but it only lasts about 2 seconds, weird.
I Fancy You EDP is a beautiful, fresh, fruity spring/summer perfume. Beautiful in 60-80F temperatures. There is an "ooey-gooey", almost bubble gum, base to all these Fancy flankers which I find quite unique and long lasting. Not juvenile and very versatile. I really enjoy them.
Like many have already mentioned, the first spray is terrible. It's not alcoholic; it's something so odd I'm not even sure how to describe it (I can see why some below mentioned bugspray). Once settled, it is easier to the nose but still has that underlying bugspray background. Staying power is slightly below average and the sillage is non-existent. Even at a dirt-cheap price, there are still so many good options out there. The bottle is so cute thou!
This perfume is so sour and I don’t smell any of the notes listed. I love every single note they claim is in this but I don’t smell none of them. I do have yardleys lily of the valley and this does not smell like that at all. This is sour sweat through and through like old lemons and osmanthus. It’s not pretty.
I used to wear this a lot in college. The first spray is terrible but the dry down is ok. It is a very "perfumey" scent but feminine and pretty. Just gives me a headache now and either has too many competing notes or just too much of that crazy glue smell as someone else said. The only reason I go back to this one is from memories. Otherwise forget it. Not a good blind buy in my opinion.
