I was really excited to try this along with Bois Imperial. I don’t really find them similar at all. Bois smells like shaving cream to me and therefore more masculine. Ganymede is smooth and has depth and complexity. Gender neutral. I do get the otherworldly and magazine pages smell—love that. I can see why ppl find it sterile or hospital-like, but it doesn’t feel like that for me. Will buy!

Beyond gorgeous! The drydown is to die for and it l a s t s

Fantastic, smells like clean air. I think this is signature scent worthy.

Bois imperial has overtaken this in hype, but this is a far superior composition. So much more depth and nuance.

I live in Iran, and I truly love this fragrance, but sadly it's become far too expensive for me because of the dramatic difference between the Iranian Rial and the US dollar (or the euro). Unfortunately, this isn't just the case with this perfume—it's the harsh reality for almost all fragrances and countless other products in Iran.

I don't know which specific note cause this but I straight up smell a hospital. It smells like a combination of hand sanitizer, latex gloves, nylon hospital bed covers and overall hospital experience. I can't say that the smell itself is bad. It's just that the memories it brings are not those I am fond of. It can be a comfort fragrance if you have a weird obsession with these type of medical places though.

Neither sterile nor cold like some reviews are saying. This must play well on my skin because on me it smells complex but without the recoil some have described. When first sprayed the top note is sharp and smells like paper, like magazine pages. Maybe this sharpness is what people interpret as sterile? Yes, it does initially smell like leafing through a fashion magazine full of perfume samples. Since this is a nostalgic and exciting smell for me, it doesn’t detract from the experience. After about 30 minutes it dries down to a nice warm spicy musk that I call “sexy boyfriend”. Sometimes I smell what I think is coriander, sometimes a little cumin funk, but there’s softness that keeps it smelling pleasant. I like how each time I wear it I notice something new — it seems to have different characteristics day to day. I imagine someone wearing this lounging in the shade on a summer day, on a cafe patio, looking through a book, rumpled but stylish, a little sweaty, waiting for their date to arrive, definitely sexy. My new go-to city fragrance.

Beautiful and versatile. First hour is similar to TF Grey Vetiver Parfum at least to my nose. Dries down to an untraditional leather which is made light and airy with mineral notes. Don't see why this is so polarizing, worth a buy.

When did fragrantica skew twitter/x?many comments below include borderline racist or class contempt. This used to be a community of perfume lovers not a forum for venom. Ganymede: the osmanthus and immortelle are dominant on my skin. I hoped that mineral/molecular base would win out but no.

I’ve been curious to try both this and Tilia and my Ganymede 10 ml decant just came in today. I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect and—for me— the opening pulled too dry, bitter , pungent, and masculine….. I believe it was the saffron and patchouli that damn near punched me in the nose. I didn’t dislike it but I quickly filed it away in my mind as something to give to my husband, but then the magic happened in the dry down and though it still smelled a bit masculine, it was unique and captivating in a way that had me repeatedly sniffing my wrist and trying to catch all of the complexities that made this composition. I think this is a masc leaning unisex that will attract those who like unconventional scents. Edit: Nevermind this is perfectly unisex for the majority of wear and has an addictive mineral accord that keeps you sniffing your wrist! This is kinda close to what I had imagined House of Bō’s Casa Blanca was going to smell like, but it was too masculine and nowhere near as complex. I love this!!

I’ll say it again, Quentin Bisch should just give me his bank account number so I can deposit my money directly into it. The leather and saffron on my skin are amplified and turn beast mode. I layer this with Tilia and I kid you not, I have benn grabbed and stopped to ask what I am wearing. This is a double S…sensual and sexy. Wear it with caution. You have been warned!

boxfresh suede and cyborg air freshener. smells like a clarks shoes outlet store on a planet where no one has musty feet. Also reminds me a lot of the memory of tom ford grey vetiver & a classy version of a primark mandarin and basil reed diffuser my mum used to rinse Love! just makes me go noseblind too quickly to really appreciate the journey

so perfect . worth every penny . on cloths its eternal

Je ressens un accord petrichor que j'interprète comme la note minérale. Ganymède est très singulier et ne ressemble a aucun autre parfum (on aime ou on déteste). Personnellement je l'adore, il est futuriste tout en étant si reconnaissable. MASTERCLASS !

Probably one of the least blind buy safe fragrances of all time. Some people seem to get less of the mineral notes than others; I for one get them a lot and it's rather unpleasant.

9.5/10. Love it or hate it aaand i love it surely. Fascinating fragrance, i will buy full bottle as soon as possiblem.

Masterpiece. F*ckin masterpiece !

Lots of people say this is basically a higher quality better version of Bois Imperial. I don't get that at ALL. The metallic notes and leather of this fragrance are very hit or miss. Some people love it, I really don't get it. It's significantly less woody than Bois Imperial and is missing that basil, green note, which is why I love it so much.

Анонім★★★★★

It's pretty unique, but it's way too overhyped in terms of the performance(could be a new badge). In other words, the scent profile doesn't really match my skin; it smells like a floral paint job at the opening, and in the dry-down it's basically like light leather-vetiver. Definitely not full-bottle worthy if you are younger than mid-20s!!!

Анонім★★★★★

It's quite astonishing to me how I'm able to smell this constantly for the first 3-4 hours that it's on my skin

I don’t know why people bother comparing this to bois imperial. They haven’t obviously had experience with both fragrances - most likely strip mall critics. They are completely different scents, each one worth of your money. So, don’t trust the keyboard warriors of the “sweaty” bois imperial. Just try it yourself. About being polarizing, it’s obviously not your typical designer fragrance, but I only got compliments from wearing it.

If you want to smell like a visitor from another, better planet, then buy this fragrance. Don’t delude yourself into thinking that a cheap copy from an Arabic market stall will be exactly the same. This scent has depth, it has class, there’s an actual story told here—not the flat bottom of a cheap Egyptian swimming pool. It’s an otherworldly fragrance that is an absolute must-have in your collection. Period.

Анонім★★★★★

It’s a spicy, dry, mineralic perfume that comes across very masculine to me. Great perfume, I blind bought it and am loving it. Perfect amount of projection, and I don’t think there’s a need to overspray this one: 3-4 is a good amount for me.

Анонім★★★★★

Amazing scent but the performance is a fraction of what is used to be. Scoop up an older batch if you can find it.

Анонім★★★★★

The best and most unique clean fragrance PERIOD! Long lasting with a lot of character and different layers throughout the whole wear. Highly polarizing, if you like it, it will be your go-to daily, when you wanna smell clean and sophisticated. To me, it smells like a highly sterilized dental ordination combined with the woody, powdery, leathery accords. Truly a niche perfume. PS: I would recommend spraying it on the arms and back of the neck since it's prone to causing olfactory fatigue. Sometimes people would ask me what I'm wearing, even though I couldn't smell it on myself.

Opens up with that wood from Bois Imperial/the pages of a fancier fashion magazine with tons of ink on the page, but dries down into a metallic/almost blood with strong curry-like note

this essentially is an oud from 3026 and i absolutely love it

The first time I smelled Ganymede, it felt like stepping into a world completely different from any fragrance I had known before. The opening reminds me of sun-warmed stones after the rain, clean, radiant, and strangely calming. As it settles, a soft suede accord emerges, bringing to mind the supple feel of a well-worn luxury leather jacket. On skin, it keeps revealing new facets with every breath, shifting between the cool sheen of polished metal and the gentle warmth of rocks kissed by the evening sun. To me, Ganymede is more than just a beautiful fragrance, it's one of those rare scents that tells a different story every time you wear it and makes you want to smell it again and again

This is what the Starship Enterprise smells like.

What a peculiar perfume. One of the commenters below, quite accurately, mentioned that Ganymede is one of "those" niches that everyone has to try at least once- because everyone experiences it differently. They were absolutely spot on. While I had read some reviews prior to trying it, Ganymede is not like anything I have ever smelled before from a perfume, and it is in this context I use the word peculiar. To be perfectly honest, the first 2-3 times I smelled it was rather disappointing; it almost resembled the industrial, sharp, metallic smell of an airplane. The first thing our mind tends to do when we associate something with an "unpleasant" experience is to start creating fatigue. I decided to stick with it however, since I could at least understand what it was going for- a sharp, silver sheen that smelled ethereal. After a few days, I was able to appreciate it more with the understanding that it probably isn't something I'd wear as a signature, everyday, in day, night, or even seasonally. To me, this skews extremely formal- the suede, and mineralic emphasis produces an unforgettable dark theme that I plan to reserve only for going to conferences or getting suited up. This isn't something I'd enjoy wearing per se, but something that demands to be worn given the right occasion. I will probably not be needing more than 30 mL, and I do plan to get it in the distant future, but just know that this will probably take some time to love if you don't click with it on first sniff. Interesting concept.
