Hundred Silent Ways

This was my wedding perfume and I love this so much. From the time I spray it onto my skin, till the dry down a few hours later, it works on my skin so well. I’ve gone through multiple bottles and I still can’t get enough. Also, this gets me the most compliments!

It’s pleasant and easy to wear, but sweeter than I’d like. The scent is mainly a familiar blend of white florals and sugary notes. I wish the top notes were more noticeable. Good for variety and a change, but far from exceptional. 6.85/10

Best date night perfume. Seductive and sensual, gives rich girl vibes. I could wear it in any season, maybe not in the summer, but it's a great fit for all as it is very versatile.

One word, delicious I find the opening to be a bit masculine. Quickly going into a vanilla peachy floral. I tend to dislike peach fragrances, but this is subtle as far as I’m concerned. I am a white floral lover. And I don’t find them here. I believe that’s because it is so well put together. It is somewhat floral. I think this is very, very nice perfume. It’s kind of been my summer fragrance. In my opinion, safe for work. Lovely gift. Obviously, it’s subjective. I find the longevity to be somewhat lacking. But I keep going back for it. So obviously, I love it. Definitely value at discounters.

Oh man this is really well done and I really want to like this but I'm getting bubblegum from the tuberose :(. It would be so nice otherwise. The sillage is decent, but this is not a screechy white floral. It creeps up on you then envelops you rather than slapping you in the face and giving you the "I just walked into Macy's" experience. It starts slow, enough for you to notice, then it builds. It's a soft (I'm talking about texture here, not performance), powdery, white floral that's sweetened up just a tad with vanilla and gets brightness from a peach (not jam or artificial peach; it's like sniffing a fresh white peach). Everything is balanced fairly well (no single note stands out) so you're not quite sure what you're smelling at first. Then it builds and develops and you get to familiarize yourself with all the different pieces. The way this grows and envelopes you reminds me of your lover slipping gently into bed, so as to not wake you. You feel quiet movement and gentle caresses at first while you're still half awake, then they hug you from behind and you get the full blast of warmth from their body and the tenderness from their embrace. This perfume is not weak. But everything is well balanced and you don't know extactly what you're smelling yet, so it grows and it's kind of one of the best fucking fragrance experiences I've ever had. It's got good strength and lasting power, and as long as the person doesn't hate white florals, this is nice. It feels like an intimate perfume (not intimate sillage). It's not screechy or overpowering and screaming for attention; it's a soft, comforting, and gentle scent that makes you want to lean in closer. The tuberose, jasmine, orris, and gardenia are balanced well. Everyone is dressed and standing uniform in line so no one person stands out in front of the others. The white florals are a perfectly blended chorus (I can only pick out the tuberose because it tends to smell bubblegummy to me). The vanilla is a white/fresh/clean vanilla (no caramel or brown sugar or syrupy vanillas here) and it adds just the right amount of sweetness to balance the white florals so they don't become harsh. I wouldn't say this is a "sweet vanilla" so gourmand lovers may be disappointed. Then there's the peach. It's adds brightness and an interesting facet to the otherwise boring white floral/vanilla combo. I don't know how they managed to replicate the experience of sniffing the skin of a fresh, fuzzy, white peach, but they got it dead on! So the peach adds a powderiness but it feels like peach fuzz powderiness. I normally hate perfumes with strong powdery notes because it always feels like baby powder or vintage powder puff vibes but I don't get any of that here. This is beautiful. If it weren't for the slight bubblegummy aspect of the tuberose, I would really like this. This is a good floral to try for floral haters (I'm a self proclaimed floral hater). It's fresh and clean without being soapy or loaded with aldehydes and citrus. I think it's definitely worth a try and it somehow lived up to hype. Just be warned if you tend to get bubblegum tuberose (and you're bothered by it).

I seem to like sweeter scents of Nishane and this one is a great example. I love all sorts of white florals and all that vanilla sweetness makes it even more desirable. delicious

This is that classic feminine, crowd-pleasing floral perfume—slightly sweet, a bit fruity without being cloying. It's a gem. Among all the feminine-leaning unisex perfumes I've smelled, this is one of my favorites because it smells absolutely amazing on the skin of my friends or any woman I've noticed wearing it. It has that floral, slightly sweet, fruity facet without feeling like a familiar DNA. It lasts really well and smells absolutely delicious. You can tell you're in the presence of a high-quality perfume. I love it, even if I don’t wear it myself often— I enjoy smelling it, sampling it, just experiencing it. And it definitely gets compliments. It starts off a bit innocent and then gets a little bolder as it dries down.

This smells like a designer fragrance to me ... anything by YSL. I don't smell peach or citrus, just the florals, vanilla and sandalwood. I like this perfume; it's perfectly fine but not unique. I could wear this, Black Opium or one of the Libre fragrances and feel the same. I have a full bottle and will wear it, but I can't say there's any real excitement. I wouldn't repurchase. I got a great deal and bought it based on the notes and positive reviews.

I get powdery tuberose and jasmine with a touch of citrus mostly. I was expecting more creaminess and vanilla and sandalwood. I don't detect any peach either.

the name goes hard especially when gifted to your lady. thats what is special about this tbh, its good i see why a lot of people love it but personally the tuberose just ruins it.

Bought a 2ml decant thank God. Sharp screechy green grass. It's a beautiful fragrance don't get me wrong but smells like sharp fresh grass and too green and air. Mostly greens.

Nishane #7 – Sooo, really how long ago was “a long ago”? Another perfume with a beautiful name and a beautiful concept. The name, “Hundred Silent Ways” is both beautiful and open ended, left for the interpretation of the smeller. The official website speaks of the wish to recreate the allure of perfumery from the past, intertwined with modern notes and aspects. If you ask me, Nishane already implemented this concept with great success in their modern interpretation of a classic citrus cologne. Im talking about Colognise, a scent i’ve just reviewed a few days ago. One thing’s for sure, so far Nishane had no misses to me and somehow i expected that even before i sampled their perfumes. Given the successfull implementation of Colognise, i had no doubts that Hundred Silent Ways will deliver aswell although i was curious exactly which part of historic perfumery did it tackle. Having said that, i would like to go back to Nanshe a bit. Many claim that its a fragrance done in a vintage powdery style yet to me its modern through and through. With Hundred Silent Ways its the brand itself that mentions inspiration from the past but once again i just cannot see that. Maybe my view of oldschool perfumery is narrow but this one doesn’t take me there eighter. The comparitions to Nanshe do not stop there eighter because to me it features a similar feminine candied vanilla-sweetness and powderyness only this time the accent isn’t on the pink powder but somehow on a velvety, almondy nouance only without the nuttyness. Im not sure where the candyness comes from, perhaps its the fruits combined with the florals and im left in the shadow with the almond facet too. Maybe the texture from the orris and the sandalwood is playing tricks on me. The scent smells pink to me, like cotton candy pink and once again its very sweet. It falls into slight gourmand category without smelling edible but the brand also mentions that in its description. It might be just me but i also get similarities with Afnan 9PM / JPG Ultramale. That DNA was sweet in a similar juvenile way hence why it wasn’t to my taste. Hundred Silent Ways annoys me a bit to be honest, not because of its scent but because of the brief. If its supposed to take a look back at the scents of the past, where exactly does it take inspiration from and how much in the past does it go for that inspiration? Maybe the past for me was longer ago then for Nishane. Perhaps “the past” that Nishane had in mind when creating the fragrance is relatively recent times, the times of neon colors and bright flashy clothings, pom-poms, 1980’s tracksuits, permed hair and flared jeans. Well...i guess that IS in the past if we think about it. I mean, the 80’s were over 40 years ago! (Jesus, we are getting old...) Overall, the fragrance smells good, not very complex and definetly not unique but its sweet, massappealing and feminine. Out of all Nishane’s i’ve tested so far its the most designer-like and possibly the least memorable but the quality is good nevertheless, on par with the others and im certain that it would garner compliments. Niche-heads would be unimpressed but it would make a great impression on the general public.

Real special. On my scarf, peach and sandalwood are the standout notes - and what a lovely combination! On my skin, it smells like a hybrid of Green Stravaganza, Yum Boujee Marshmallow, and Black Opium. Hundred Silent Ways is perfection. Obsessed.

This is pleasantly boring. It's nothing groundbreaking - the vanilla and sandalwood are the most dominant with a hint of white florals, it's soft and feminine but smells just like a stock standard designer scent. Wish some more of the peach or mandarin shone through, or even a bit more of the vetiver to elevate it.

This is a very well blended fragrance and the notes smell very natural and luxurious. It is also a very pretty fragrance. But it’s not a very unique or very memorable fragrance to me.

Absolutely beautiful! Creamy white florals and sandalwood with vanilla.. the vanillic sweetness is very well balanced by that powdery dry quality from the orris root. Can’t feel the peach but I do get some that mandarin right in the opening. And there’s definitely something that reminds me of some kind of nut… like almonds. Sensual, warm and inviting yet not too flashy. Perfect date night scent in cold weather.

I agree with the commenter below me. This is more vanilla than anything else to my nose. I get worm tuberose (rather than the bubblegum presentation it can have at times), nondescript fruity notes, vanilla, sandalwood, and I swear there's cacao notes in there too. It projects, but isn't beast mode.

It's a lovely perfume indeed, pretty and feminine. However, the white florals are buried deep, deep beneath vanilla-sandalwood accord, so deep in fact, that I'd categorise this fragrance as vanillic. It also reminds me of Satine by Lalique, likely because of the prominent powdery vanilla-sandalwood duo shared by both perfumes. I can't comment on the Black Opium comparisons because Black Opium sounds like an infernal cacophony to me. Hundred Silent Ways is pleasant and inoffensive, like indistinct live piano music heard in Grand Hotels in the evening.

I've worn this twice to the dentist and the first time the dental assistant complimented me, and the second time the ladies in the waiting room said "Something smells so wonderful in here". Then after my cleaning, the Dental Assistant said "You smell so beautiful!" to which I had to let her in on my secret. hehe

Yep, I am definitely getting Black Opium - albeit a more sophisticated, refined version and without the coffee notes. Much better performance than BO which lasts about two hours on my skin. If you have one, you really don't need the other.

I had high hopes for this. It was hyped up to me as a compliment-getter date night scent. I was watching out for a sample size, because it is a very expensive perfume. I'm so glad I waited for it and didn't purchase a whole bottle. It's not a bad fragrance, but for this price and for what it was made out to be, it is just not worth it. Nothing sexy about it, tbh. It's a very inoffensive scent, mostly white floral with a hint of citrus, but it goes away in about an hour. Does not really stay, even on hair. I also felt like it reminded me of something, so if you like it, I'm sure you'd find something similar and a lot more afforable. It was such a disappointment.

I had hopes for this one, but my - it's got this nasty metallic smell to it. I can't wait to get it off. I'm torn between dislike and hate 🫩

I wanted to love this. I love the name and I love the overall scent but I’ll be d@mned if it doesn’t have a baby powder undertone. It smells so disgusting with this. It ruins this entire perfume.

A slightly sweet floral n feminie fragrance. Bought this fragrance an year back and thought there is nothing so special but today, when i tried I felt at peace and actually, loved it 💕. I have applied it 3 hours back and its still projecting. Its like a creamy vanillic peachy hug very comforting , notes are very well blended and having a good staying power. Cant stop smelling my wrist; Undeniably beautiful & comforting!!!
