I find it too much. It's definitely a synthetic scent that should be applied lightly. The pineapple note makes me sneeze when I put it on and it's too sticky for the rest of the day. Definitely for a younger person, but I'd go with something like One Million by Paco Rabanne if you want to slightly negate this harsh citrus smell.

I mean it’s a solid mass appealing fragrance that gets overhated, BUT the smell just becomes boring after some time, so honestly just get the 50ml instead of the 100ml bottle. 6/10

I dislike fuckbois and their overly sweet, bubblegum sugar gold brick scents. I like this though, even though it is tangential, it is just on the cusp of fuckboi....fuckboi adjacent, if you will. When I think of creamy vanilla + citrus, Allure Homme Sport line is the undisputed and most refined king of the genre. This skews younger, brighter, more synthetic sweeter in a way that makes it fun to wear anytime.

I feel bad for writing that bad review about this and calling it having no personality .. i mean it doesn’t smell bad its really good but it definitely shines in the performance when oversprayed.. really likeable scent .. i agree with the comment below me its definitely versatile which is really rare for a vanilla fragrance .. i still find it redundant i just wanted to give it credit for that big sillage and conpliments that it gets

Анонім

dumbest reach. overall pretty easy to wear, likeable fragrance. one of my favorite vanillas for the hot weather.

As a self-proclaimed fan of sweet fragrances, I can say without hesitation: Phantom was another one of those finds that has quickly become a favorite in my collection. It delivers everything it promises and even goes beyond. Its profile is sweet, modern, and addictive—the kind that sticks to your skin and grabs attention wherever you go. For me, it’s clearly a nighttime fragrance, perfect for mild temperatures, with it truly shining in the autumn and spring. Performance: The longevity and projection on my skin were simply bombastic. As for clothes, it’s on another level; it really impregnated the fabric and didn't come off easily. It’s the kind of perfume you can smell for hours and hours. Phantom is the type of fragrance that is very easy to like; it’s not complicated or difficult to enjoy. It enters the room and immediately starts pulling in compliments—in that way where everyone asks, 'What perfume is that?' And, to wrap it up, it’s impossible not to mention the bottle: simply beautiful, modern, unique, and stylish. It’s the kind that draws as much attention as the scent itself. It’s definitely one of those bottles you’ll want to display on your vanity. 🤖

Phantom gets a lot of unwarranted hate. It came out in a market that was already saturated with masculine vanilla fragrances and because of its cheesy robot presentation most people write it off. Phantom takes notes that don't seem like they'd work together (lavender, vanilla, lemon, patchouli???) and somehow blends them in a way that is quite wearable. Is it original? No, this smells quite similar to several other designer men's fragrances. However, Phantom has an earthy/smoky/patchouli/powder note that makes it stand out from its competition. Phantom smells like a slutty, powdery lemon. This is a fragrance for a manwhore...I mean that in the best way possible. Paco Rabanne fragrances seem to have excellent performance and longevity and Phantom is no exception. Exceptional performance for an EDT. 8+ hours easy with strong skin scent that can be revived by working up a sweat. Smells great. Performance is outstanding. Can be found for very affordable prices on discounters. My girlfriend LOVES it. What is there to not love? Phantom is a really solid designer fragrance in my opinion.

Never smelled a lavender & vanilla combo executed so poorly. Combined with the weird smokiness it just opens as something wildly confusing, although it gets a bit more bearable during the dry down. People mostly hate this based on its bottle but what others don't understand is that it's not just the bottle. This is genuinely one of the most artificial and synthetic smelling fragrances I've ever smelled. Hate it. 2/10

Classic Panthom DNA, nothing special but still nice to wear

This (the Dry-Down in particular) is so lovely. I think I would love to smell this. On a woman! It's just so beautiful and intoxicating in the air. I don't know why this is targeted towards men. It is not masculine at all. At best unisex.

Phantom is Ass holy shit, the second I smell it I am aggressively hit, I mean SLAPPED with the stench of rhubarb which is a weird ass choice first of all, and second of all it doesn't go with the rest of the notes. Just kidding, its not as bad as people think its just a strong citrus with a unique twist then a light playful vanilla dry down. Extremely Youthful. personally wouldn't wear but would be good for beginners yk what i mean but yeah not so bad, I dont mind catching whiffs on people. 5.5/10

I truly don’t know what this perfume has that keeps pulling me back, but every time I smell it, I fall in love all over again. It’s my favorite fragrance from the Rabanne house and one of my all-time favorites.

Анонім

Yankee candle lemon-lavender car air freshener. A lesson in the fact that just because a smell is pleasant, doesn't mean it should be applied all over yourself. Something many people have yet to realize.

Анонім

It smells fine, it's just REALLY sweet. Like sugary sweet pineapple/apple/lemon with slight hints of lavender and something earthy. I don't smell a rich vanilla or anything, just super sweet fruits. It's not bad, but it's not great either?

This line gets undeserving hatred because of the bottle and the reputation of the current state of the house. Known for tacky bottles of unforgiving highly synthetically loud sweet aromas that can be redundant across different lines and flankers. But...I really love this house. The old and the new fragrances. From pour homme, Invictus line, 1 Million line to the Phantom line. I always feel like I get my monies worth. I actually LOVE this original. I know it's somewhat of a mess, but it IS different. I get a vanilla, lavender, almost pineapple sugary sweet profile, mixed with a touch of earthiness with a smoke that's almost a burnt rubber or new tire smell ever so faint in the background. All of this is fairly synthetic and somewhat potent and I love it. If this was made by a niche house in a fancy bottle, the score would be way higher and the hate would be a lot less. Funny thing is we sometimes like to pay more for a decorative vessel and a premium name all the while forgetting what quality actually is. All things considered, even the tacky but cool bottle, this gets a solid 8/10 in my book. Great underrated fragrance that started a solid line of flankers.

Анонім

Warm green opening, very herbal, mix of patchouli and wormwood with lemon. Such a natural fragrance, wasn’t feeling synthetic for even a single moment. Progresses into a composition that was, subjectively, heavily inspired by JPG’s perfumes: lavender, vanilla, vetiver. Pretty versatile profile, can be easily worn all seasons around due to well-balanced notes. The bottle is a masterpiece. I don’t remember anything that felt similar to this. Literally gives the same premium quality feeling like Apple devices I mean, it’s so good, that it becomes… boring. Phantom is pleasing, mass-appealing, compliment getter fragrance, but I don’t really feel any own identity here. It was the first fragrance that was created by AI and it’s basically a sentence for it: artificial, simulated, lifeless. It’s like a mix of Cola, Sprite and Fanta - drinkable, pleases fans of all of the brand, but you see no creativity here, just a copycat

BEST BEST BEST nothing can describe this fragrance.. Im so in love with it

Анонім

its lowk cloying but i love it, had my eye on this for ages

Paco Rabanne Phantom stands out with its lavender and vanilla notes, and I especially remember it for the lavender. The NFC-enabled bottle and robot design are striking, making it one of my favorite bottle designs. Its vanilla and lavender give it a slightly unisex vibe, and 3–4 hours of longevity is sufficient for a designer fragrance. It has an energetic and modern profile, light yet characterful.

Анонім

ts is just a sweet powdery bomb, kinda cloying. wear it if you going clubbing or bar hopping, thats it. this is like if ultra male was having some sort of mid life crisis. 6/10

Анонім

I remember having mixed opinions when I first got this because it somehow reminded me of ultra male/9pm (this was 2023) but at the end of the day I did end up liking it. Fast forward to now, it seems to have gotten better with the time, especially the top and the dry down, now it's got nothing that remotely reminds me of UM/9pm and does its own unique thing, a nice mix of lemon cookies with a tiny bit of coconut shavings ontop, and the vanilla and lavender make this super cozy, like a soft, warm sweater... definitely something to wear before cuddling up your s/o (just wait until the dry down though cus it's LOUD at the top XD) I've always been a fan of the lavender + vanilla + lemon combo and at first, with how mushed together everything was, it put me off...but now that it's sat for awhile and I've explored other fragrances that are honestly more and more of the same, this one ended up growing on me FAST after a very recent wear. Performance for my skin was above average, and even after showering I could still smell it on my skin after, so this gets an 8/10. It's pretty cheap on discounters so it wouldn't hurt to give it a try...if you don't end up liking it you can still give it away to your sibling lol

I don’t know much about fragrances marketed to men, but I got this as a sample and… I kind of really enjoy it. Or at least the dry-down. At first, it was a bit too citrusy for me, almost sharp and woody in that very generic “men’s cologne” way. But luckily, those sharper notes don’t stick around too long on my skin. Once they settle, the lavender really starts to come through in such a soothing way. The citrus actually hangs on longer than I expected for a top note, but it softens into something gentler, almost like lemon posset (maybe that’s the vanilla?). I also lovedddd how it lingered on my shirt collar, so I might start using it for layering with something creamier and sweeter. Very nice overall! :)

Paco Rabanne Phantom is a perfume that has caused a lot of talk, not only for its robot-shaped bottle (definitely bold), but for the "neuroscientific" technology behind its creation. Phantom is a fragrance that plays on the extreme contrast between energizing freshness and creamy sweetness. Freshly sprayed, the Amalfi Lemon and lemon zest hit hard. It is a very bright and almost "electric" opening. Lavender is already present, but here it serves to cleanse the citrus, making it similar to a luxury soap or an ultra-modern aftershave. Unexpected soul: here the fragrance becomes interesting. The earthy notes and smoke create an almost "metallic" contrast with the green apple. It is not an ecclesiastical incense smoke, but more a modern vapor, synthetic in the artistic sense, which gives body to the lavender. At dry-down the fragrance is dominated by vanilla. It becomes very sweet, warm and persistent. The vetiver on the finish prevents the vanilla from becoming cloying, maintaining a masculine imprint. Phantom is not a perfume for those who want to go unnoticed or for those seeking classic "old school" elegance. It is a young, futuristic and decidedly sweet fragrance. If you love perfumes like Invictus or 1 Million, but are looking for something more complex and "alien", this is the ideal next step. A little tip: Being a very dense lavender and vanilla fragrance, it works best in cool temperatures. Under the summer sun of August it could be a little "heavy" for those around you!

LOL It's so funny how people decide to completely crap on this fragrance just because of the gimmicky AI stuff, and bottle design, but never truly judge the fragrance itself. Definitely judging a book by its cover... All of that aside, however, the fragrance itself is amazing. Despite the synthetic opening, the dry down of the scent smells sweet, creamy and masculine. It's 100% suitable as a "going-out" kind of scent, or when you just want to stand out at a club, party, etc. I would say it's daily-wearable, but I can definitely see why some people may find this too "loud" as it projects at arms length and lasts very long (6-8hrs on me). If you ask me, this is something club/party-worthy. Regardless, if you want something that gets compliments and will have people asking what you're wearing wherever you go, this fragrance is the one for you.

#65 of My Fragrance Journey - Paco Rabanne Phantom: a pulse, not a personality Okay. Let’s ignore the robot bottle for a minute. Strip away the chrome, the AI hype, all of that. What’s left? A scent that’s very physical. Very present. Phantom isn’t trying to be clever - it’s trying to move air. And honestly… it does. The first spray hits like a flash of green light. Lemon, but not fruit-lemon. More neon. Synthetic on purpose. Sharp, electric, almost vibrating. It feels like the moment the bass drops, and your chest feels it before your ears do. You don’t ease into Phantom - you’re just suddenly in it. Then the body kicks in. This is where it gets interesting. The lavender here isn’t soft or nostalgic or barbershop-clean. It’s thick. Creamy. Almost muscular. And once the vanilla wraps around it, the whole thing turns dense and sweet and very tactile. This is a scent that sits on skin like heat. It’s not subtle, and it doesn’t want to be. It smells confident in a very modern way - less “gentleman”, more “I know exactly why I’m here”. In the air, Phantom is… effective. That’s the word. It projects, it gets noticed, it pulls people closer. Compliment-friendly, no question. To a more niche-leaning nose, it might feel excessive, even a bit much - but that’s kind of the point. Phantom isn’t trying to be tasteful. It’s trying to be felt. Performance is solid. Easily 8–10 hours on me, with a sillage that stays assertive for most of the night before slowly settling closer to the skin. Final thoughts: Phantom isn’t for introspection or quiet moments. It’s a going-out scent, full stop. Sweet, loud, creamy, and unapologetic. If you want refinement, look elsewhere. But if you want something that cuts through noise, heat, bodies, and movement - this one does the job. It won’t change your life. But it will make sure you’re noticed while you’re living it. Vibe: club lights, sweat, confidence Best for: nights out, crowded rooms, taking up space Warning: if you don’t like loud… this will wear you. A nice fragrance, but in the same sort of space as a Jean Paul Gaultier. In fact it has a striking similarity to Le Male Elixir, although I see no one talking about it. Its fresh and sweet, vanilic with lavender and a bit of masculine depth. Not much else. If you want something better just get the JPG as they do get quite similar, even side by side, just with the jpg being sweeter. This one has a chestnut like accord or quality to it with a bit of smoke, and in a way that is similar to the JPG's honey and tobacco. Honestly, just get the JPG Le Male Elixir.

I own this 3 years now, it smells synthetic yes, but again, it smells great, good to wear in the beginning of the spring.
