The only Spicebomb I'm not madly in love with. It's good. One squirt good. I sprayed on five and practically threw up. It burns my nose and throat. Less is more with this one, it's very harsh and stays harsh. Very easy to overdo. Still like it though and I don't like leather frags at all. One squirt as far away from my nose as possible.
The original Spicebomb is one of the most recognisable masculine scent profiles of the 21st century, whilst I may not adore it, it cannot be argued that it is essentially a modern classic. This Dark Leather flanker does what it says on the tin, a small element of the original Spicebomb is there I’m happy to say, with its musk-laden loveable scratchiness, but muted. It’s dry, devoid of moisture, not to say the original had much but this leans even further into crispy territory. The leather itself is rather juvenile, I find it plasticky and rubbery with a faint smoky facet coming from the incense. It is not a realistic leather along the lines of something Tom Ford would do, but rather a more metaphorical one, more juvenile and forgettable but pleasant all the same. Actually, I commend this perfume for I expected much less, it is quite pleasant and not at all garish or cloying, it is a perfectly respectable pedestrian leather for the mass market.
I love the smell of this but for the price I can’t justify the buy for me. The projection and longevity are Trish performance. It comes out strong and in an hour your gonna have to be really up close to smell it, even with heavy spraying on clothes. If they could reformulate it and fix these cons this would be a huge banger. I don’t get the leather scant as the name and bottle would imply, it’s more like a matured sweet new tire smell on my skin but not in a bad way. It’s a good scent don’t get me wrong. For the money I would have bought something else. There is better out there for cheaper. 4/10
Great for someone who wants to get into leather scents! Other than that there are better ones out there. Opening has that Spice Bomb Boom, then drys down pretty quickly thus, if you love Spice Bomb you will love/like this. - Strong when up close - Clean - Spicy - Warm and reassuring 8/10 (Try it before buying)
as somebody who likes leather, this smells like spicebomb if you threw a rubber tire in it and added dryer sheets for some reason
I knew this wasnt me becouse i dont like leather but i still bought it becouse it was 60 dollars i realised it isnt really leaathery believe it or not this is more like a sweet peppery clean laundry smell with a pinch of leather pretty ok for 60 bucks and its a compliment getter it might be cloying on you but i think the scent trail you make gets you compliments becouse you dont really take the leather note on the trail this is my theory oh and the atomiser is great it covers a really big area
Bought this expecting something along the lines of man in black cologne which I enjoy… I like unique scents but holy fck the leather in this is dark. Has that rubber tire note found in blvck but turned up to the max and that’s all my noob nose can smell. Moderate projection which I expected , don’t buy this expecting the typical Spicebomb nuclear performance. It’s probably best unless you like smelling like Pepboys. I’ll probably retire thisquickly, not for me.
Spicebomb… I intentionally grabbed the EDP version with the hope to get an absurd amount of pepper. The amount that is enough to make the whole mall sneeze near me, even fans of Asian cousins. I expected to get sauvage, 1 million, red tobacco - all in one bottle, but tens… No, a hundred times more powerful! Yet, I got only one thing. The thing that I already knew and that became Quinto’s credo - don’t believe marketing fuss It’s not a Spicebomb, but at the best scenario, a Spicepopper or even a Spiceclap. The amount of pepper here is comparable to 1 million. Honestly, it’s exactly 1 million sprayed on a leather jacket that lost its blood-mandarin freshness, with the addition of cigarette smoke somewhere near the bar, while you’re still trying to win an argument with the slow staff in the stuffy closet, who definitely doesn’t care how hot it is there and how hard you want to step onto the dance floor Not complex at all, weak projection, and poor longevity. Spicebomb doesn't live up to the expectations that the fragrance and its name have created themselves. Imagine if 1 million lost its aura and status of a cultural phenomenon - here’s how Spicebomb dark leather feels like I hope it draws enough attention from security and TSA agents to be banned from carrying around with you on the plane or even in public places. Let this fragrance be in military warehouses. Not because it’s a deadly spicy weapon, but because it was good enough to trick the inspection and pass as a good fragrance
I love smell of this fragrance. I really pick up on the leather and the tobacco which seems to be high quality. I haven't been able to test it as much as I like however I can already tell that this scent doesnt project like a bomb, like it is supposed to, hence the perfume's name. If this projected strongly for the price it would be a great purchase.
I love the smell of this, like a lot but, how are you going to make a fragrance called SPICEBOMB DARK LEATHER and then give it the most pussy ass faint performance known to man. When I wear a scent like the last thing I want is soft office safe/intimate projection.
Not Spicebomb’s finest hour. Dark Leather is just fine, but outplayed and outlasted by Bulgari’s Man in Black Parfum which was released in the same year. If you really want spicy dark leather, get the Bulgari instead.
I was a little disappointed with Dark Leather, to be honest. I found it to be a little too generic and only really detected cinnamon and nutmeg, and even then in the most subtle of notes. On my skin, the bouquet was almost floral with hints of lime for some reason? Giving a fresh aroma rather than the dark, moody leather as anticipated. Overall, not the best of the SpiceBomb range, although it does age decently on dry down into a musky warmth that sits close and intimately. Dark Leather may not be for everyone, and I'd say it's definitely an indoor nighttime frag. If you like SpiceBomb, stick to the original, I think that one is hard to beat!
Sh!t, this is good. And now, this is mine.
Spicebomb Dark Leather isn’t a fragrance for me. I can detect incense, black pepper, and dark leather notes in it. I can’t comment on longevity as I haven’t worn it, I only bought it blind because of the bottle. While I enjoy other leather-based fragrances, this one didn’t appeal to me; the spicy aspect didn’t resonate. However, when testing on a strip, I could notice a subtly different scent even after 3 hours, making it an interesting experience, though not my favorite.
Sample. The packaging looks very cool on the full size bottle though. I like this one a lot but it's not without its shortcomings. It's one of many sweet-then-leather fragrances on the market, but I find this one to be very well blended. The sweet is less profound than say Azzaro Forever Wanted Elixir, which is in the same world, but I like this a lot more. I would say the Spicebomb namesake holds true, as the spicy notes override some of the more prominent leather elements in similar frags. Now for projection and staying power? Mid. Not worth the asking price as a result. I would also say, like many others, for an EDP called Dark Leather, it's not particularly dark or leathery enough. Another one that I would grab cheap but not any of the asking prices.
Smells extremely like carrot - which is not a bad thing, i like carrots, but who tf would like to smell like one? :D but hey - really original
Starts perfectly with dark leather with a hint of tobacco and cinnamon, but in very nice light smell, For adults, More Lean to winter night style. The performance is less than the original and extreme, but smells unique
In my opinion it's called dark man Leather- tobacco- pepper Mix of dark notes
Gone in 30 minutes.
I enjoy this smell. Reminds me of a brand new cars leather seats. Not sure about smelling like this all the time. The performance isn't good. I think it can be worn in any season. Don't think it's worth buying a full bottle.
Opens nutmeg and black pepper as expected, continuing to a woody, faint cinnamon propped next to the frankincense, but surprisingly no detectable tobacco. For better or worse, this comes off as a slightly more sophisticated freshie frag. I would say the leather in here saves it from that kind of interpretation, but not really by much since it’s pretty weak. Even more disappointing, either by being too above or below the olfactory threshold, the profile becomes so muted it doesn’t become worth wearing. Sharing a similar sentiment from @noctivagantlibertine, it might be good on paper, but it’s disappointing in testing, and even worse in performance. Even if its performance were to be somewhat better, the actual profile is more of a standard flanker of a designer perfume than anything that would pique my interest. You might as well layer Leatherize by DSDurga over the original nonflanker frag (or this), but I’m not sure that will help the case of the rather poor performance from this frag to have a practical potential in general use. TLDR: An unfortunately, but ultimately forgettable frag.
Beautiful smell, pretty underrated if we're being honest.
On paper this should have been my jam, I love leather, incense, and spice accords, but this seems really poorly blended to me, the notes clash against each other surprisingly badly. It smells cheap too, not quite Axe but not much better, there are tons of better leather colognes at this price point. I do like the original so I don't understand why all the flankers are so terrible. The only thing this gets right is the subtlety of the tobacco note. Might be the black pepper and frankencense together I'm loathing.
I really do enjoy this scent. Nice sweet and smooth scent of leather with the Spicebomb DNA. The biggest problem is that it doesn't last at all. In about 30 minutes the scent is totally gone. The only time I wear it now is to bed if I want to wear something soothing.
BOOM! This is definitely one of those that walks in before you do it fights my nose I like the leather in it but the pepper can be a bit much my girlfriend really likes it but I don’t think I would re buy it maybe a different version
Just like the original but with leather. Awful. Its like axe body spray for 2025. It reminds me of a 22 yr old clubbing dbag looking for some action. Just synthetic spice explosion in the initial spray. The dry down is mens potporri. This time with synthetic smelling leather This is the worst smelling perfume i have ever smelt, next to eveey other spicebomb variant. I love leather and tobacco accords, i grew up on REAL Oud attar so im used to strong manly scents. This is just pure fragrance garbage. Disgusting.
Very nice woody spicey stuff. It's not strongly dark smokey and incensy, just in hints. Frankincense cinnamon and nutmeg are beautiful, leather coming a bit later... It's very fine and elegant! If you like Dark Leather but want some similar and more cheaper - without incense and leather - try the Red Amber from Pablo Morabito, you will like it! Spicebomb Dark Leather is weak a bit to a parfum, but I like it.
I sprayed this on a card a week ago and placed it on my kitchen counter. It has been sitting there since and every time I walk past it I smell this spicy leathery goodness. I love how fresh and spicy it is with that intense leather note. YUM!
Genuinely a nice smelling perfume. It’s got a sophisticated spicy scent that’s signature of spicebomb plus a Smokey leathery smell. The leather is not in your face and is blended beautifully. It’s a shame that it doesn’t last long at all
This is not redundant to the OG or really any other Spicebomb flanker. Dark and masculine without being old fashioned, its a great pick up.
