Libre Intense

I’m not a fan. It was just too strong and soapy for me to like. I can see how people would like it, it’s just not my thing. It never seemed to warm up and blend with my body at all. It wasn’t headache inducing, but it was a scrubber because it was just so distracting. I did one spray on my wrist and it was too much. No vanilla for me

One that will make even the most niche fragrance snob go “yep thats good” an expensive, rich vanilla that is exceptionally smooth. I genuinely think of a golden river of vanilla when I smell this. I absolutely love the orange in this, it’s very subtle and stops this becoming uncomfortably dense. The lavender is heavily coated in the vanilla which I prefer as I’m not the biggest fan of the note but its inclusion creates this “fuzzy” (words fail me here) effect in the scent, reminds me of the springyness of a marshmallow almost. The florals keep this much fresher than other heavy designer vanillas, even in the golden stream I can pluck a fresh orange blossom petal with my hands. Not too sweet either! Decadence for my grown up / wanting to be grown baddies who loved sweet vanillas and need a glow up. Only complaint is during the midway point of wear this occasionally goes WATERY and alcoholic on me. Not a deal breaker but a bit annoying. Great longevity and good sillage! Really not much else to say except it’s really great.

hill i’m willing to die on: this is unisex and would smell sensual as hell on a man. lavender, vanilla, amber? it’s warm and herbal. let the baddies wear this.

This is a beast of a fragrance. Opens up strong with lavender, spice and florals. Not too sweet. It’s a ‘boss lady’ scent. Confident and mature. It dries down beautifully to a warm amber vanilla with a touch of spice. Lovely if used in moderation

It’s a good staple on collections. Smells like money and luxury. I love the lavender and the note combination here makes my brain perceive it has kind of a grape smell to it. Long lasting and moderate sillage. Good for expensive events.

This is a warm, floral-vanilla scent to my nose with a little something that makes it mature in a good way, confident and sensual. I personally haven't come across any perfumes that smell close to it. It surprised me how much I like it. I have sampled countless niche brands and yet this mainstream designer perfume has won my heart in the year I have owned it. I wear it when I want to feel beautiful.

Too strong, too masculine for me.

I got a sample of this in a magazine once a while back and was finally able to get a small bottle. It's definitely worth the price. It has a strong sileage and projection. It can be a little strong if you use too much so keep in mind that just a few sprays should do the trick!

Libre Intense is an absolutely intoxicating perfume. Or maybe even TOO intoxicating..! I loved it at first sniff - and bought the biggest bottle as soon as I could. And after that - for a couple of years (or more) I have been contemplating if I should sell it. It has been a kind of love/hate story. Almost. Like I said, it is kind of fantastic. Sexy. But then it suffocates me. And it has another downside: when it dries down, it can turn quite a bit masculine. But after all this hesitation - I have decided to keep it! Because when I am in the right mood (or my body has the right chemistry??) it is just amazing, and the downsides don’t even show up! Tonight (even though it has been a very warm summer day) is such a night. And I enjoy it very much. Edit: NNNOOOO!!! This next morning, after putting it on last night - it is still there!! Strong overbearing masculine smell. Eternal - I can’t get rid of it!! It just isn’t worth it.

Just one word: headache.

Libre Intense is one of those fragrances that simply makes me feel beautiful. The combination of lavender, vanilla, and white florals is addictive, elegant, and incredibly well blended. It has sweetness, but also freshness and sophistication. Even though I own fragrances with a similar DNA, every time I wear Libre Intense I remember why it became the reference point for so many others. Confident, feminine, and effortlessly chic❤️

For a good few years I was completely nose blind from Covid and so I never really cared about fragrance until my sense of smell slowly returned, and I realized I loved getting to tell different scents apart and find which ones I liked and which ones I didn't. When my first paycheck from a new job hit, I decided it was time to head to Ulta and try and find a "real perfume" for myself. I tried on a few, with Burberry Goddess being one of the standouts. But I still felt it was lacking something, and then I tried on Libre Intense. The opening was pretty strong and floral, so I wasn't sure what to expect. But then the scent started to settle, and it smelled like a gorgeous, soft vanilla. I'm not the best at descriptions but it was a warm and comforting, yet strong scent. If I could pick one word for it, it would be rich, in the sense that it smells both classy and complex. I'm not a big fan of overly sweet smells because I'm prone to migraines, but the vanilla in Libre Intense isn't as sugary as you would expect, it has more of a creamy and soft presence especially as it continues throughout the day. I do think it can be worn all year round if you live in a drier or more temperate climate, if you live somewhere with humid summers like I do it can be a little heavy. I originally bought it in the winter though and it has the perfect scent for a cold winter morning! The longevity on this perfume is also pretty impressive, I've had it last a long time even on busy days where I'm doing fairly physical work. It fades to a subtle, musky vanilla skin scent which is really nice. Even though I've expanded my collection a bit since I found this one, YSL libre intense is definitely the first fragrance I really loved and it continues to be my signature scent. 10/10, no notes!

I really wanna try and like this perfume, but it's so strong and overwhelming. It doesn't stink but it's just so intense I have to take a shower after wearing it for a few hours.

Libre Intense by Yves Saint Laurent is very hyped on social media and is a favourite of many. I was first introduced to the Libre range in a very "round-about" way. I sampled Libre Le Parfum first and fell head over heels in love with its density and its honeyed sweetness. It was the head-turning Libre flanker I was seeking. After purchasing Libre Le Parfum, I started to hear more about Libre Intense with many consumers raving over the amplified vanilla accord and the additional tonka bean note. My curiosity was piqued and I made it my mission to sample it when next at the department store. Libre Intense is described as "the original Libre EDP bathed in a heavy, molten-gold blanket of resinous warmth." It opens similarly to the original with an aromatic burst of lavender and zesty mandarin, but rather than remaining brisk and clean, Libre Intense delves into a warmer drydown, becoming a sensual, warm vanilla-amber powerhouse. The heart retains the floral side of the Libre DNA, with sultry orange blossom and aromatic lavender. It is not too far removed from the original Libre, and true to its name, it does strike me as a "dialed up," richer and more intense version of the original. The drydown features a heavy dose of Madagascar vanilla and tonka bean, and it's the creamy and velvety warmth from these added accords that makes Libre Intense such a crowd-pleaser. In comparison to Libre Le Parfum, Libre Intense lacks the dark honeyed sweetness and the opulence of my most beloved flanker. It is not nearly as loud on the skin and wears much smoother. Libre Intense has excellent longevity and projection, lasting approximately 8-hours on my skin with moderate to strong projection, dependent on the number of sprays.

Initially I quite liked it. I have bought a full bottle after having simple and wearing it. For me, it's great example of how our taste changes with time. Initially, I quite liked the structure and strong affirmative character of this parfum. But not much nowadays. Maybe, it's lavender in hot weather. Will put it aside and try in some colder days again.My opinion on it: definitely try it before purchasing, preferably in different weather conditions and over extended period.

It reminds me opium and Gorgio bev hills woman in 1995 i prefer the originals but are they still existing ????

One of my favorite cold weather crowd pleasers. It is a beast mode scent with aromatics, vanilla, amber, and the slightest hint of orange. No singular note leaps out, so it becomes this rich, ambery blend. The vanilla is dry, so it is an excellent option if you want vanilla that avoids the sticky gourmand category. This will cling to my clothes for days after spraying, so a word of caution: use two or three sprays because it's powerful! Occasions include dates, church, meetings with friends, and cozy days at home.

I used to dislike this fragrance so much but I purchased it for the bottle. I have come to appreciate its beauty, also I used to get a strong grapey opening when I purchased this a couple of years ago but I no longer that. Not sure if it is the fragrance changing or my nose changed.

It's horrible. It's strong and sharp and have me such an headache that I could barely drive home.

After so long I finally decided to give it a try and I must say , it’s the best try ever! I love it !! I actually adore it!

Been convincing myself that no, I don't need it. But this perfume occupied my mind for a good year or so, and I finally decided to go for it. You guys.. It really is hyped for a good reason. This perfume has so many sides to it, and I am incredibly happy to finally own it. It's so beautiful. The lavender is there but is not off-putting by any means, it actually blends in very nicely. The perfume starts off fresh, clean and floral. In a few hours, vanilla and tonka beans start to dominate, and this is exactly when Libre intense completely transforms. It becomes sweet, creamy, and overall incredibly delicious! The drydown is somewhat reminiscent of salted caramel even. I am in LOVE. It's also very strong and lasts forever. Thank you YSL ❤️ P.S. Make sure to test it on your skin and wait a couple of hours. I guess that's why it gets so much hate, it prob just doesn't work with your skin ph..

Smells like very high end shampoo to me lol

I wanted to like this because it’s so often described as elegant, sexy, etc and because I love orange blossom, but it basically smells like baby wipes to me. :(

Recently buy a 50ml Smelled it 2or 3 years ago and find it too similar to the OG which i own so didn’t find necessary to have both This one is richer, sweeter and sexier 👠✨ Very beautiful lavender with orange blossom ended in a sirupy vanilla in the dry-down.. long lasting (5 to 6 hours on skin and +10 on clothes)

Sweeter, warmer and more sensual than og libre. It is more feminine too and the lavender isn’t as prominent. Stronger vanilla in this one.
