9.0 Zara

Bought a half-empty bottle second hand to try it. It's almost gone bad but still smells ok on drydown. I can tell that it had a very lavender-y opening before it went bad. This is very much a Valentino Uomo clone than Dior Homme. Because it smells somewhat bad during opening, I won't be wearing this outside, but I'll just wear it at home instead of depleting my DHI or Valentino Uomo.

Mine just died in the bottle. My favourite cheapie. My Dior Homme clone. The one I saved for occasions. My baby. Live every day like it's your perfume's last. What if it doesn't fire? It has to fire. Hold him close to you and spray.

This one smells as if Dior Homme 2011 and Valentino Uomo had a synthetic baby. Very good value, and not too far from the quality of Dior and Valentino.

A DUPE THAT'S WELL WORTH BUYING [short review] Yes, "9.0" by Zara does remember "Dior Homme Original" (EDT from 2011) and "Valentino Uomo" (EDT from 2014). It opens up as Valentino Uomo and dries down like Dior Homme. I don't like to publicise "look-alikes" solely for that reason. However, I think the use of this Zara fragrance is much more than that. The "9.0" is certainly a very high-quality fragrance. This can be easily concluded by looking at the rating given to it by Fragrantica - 4.25 out of 5 for the first edition and 4.39 out of 5 for the second edition. It's quite easy to recommend that you test it out in a Zara shop or even blind buy a cheap bottle of "9.0"... and then enjoy it to the last drop. I have a full bottle of Dior Homme Intense and I'm in no hurry to buy a new bottle of Dior EDT, even though mine is almost finished. The same thought occurs to me about a bottle of Valentino Uomo. I have two half-used Valentinos, the original Uomo and the flanker Uomo Intense. A good justification for this reasoning is that I have 2 bottles of Zara 9.0... I'm quite happy with the Zara and don't feel the need to buy backups or replacements of the Dior and Valentino mentioned. Zara 9.0 actually has a little less sillage and longevity than Dior Homme EDT, probably 1/3 less in my opinion. I don't mind increasing the spray a little, considering that Zara perfume costs 9~10 times less than the equivalent Dior Homme and 7~8 times less than Valentino Uomo. The note of Zara Iris is quite pleasant and not cloying like many other similar blends that use Iris, sometimes in much more expensive fragrances than this cheapie from Zara. This fragrance is even a little more versatile than its more expensive soul mates, as it's quite wearable on colder days. The reason for this is that the juniper and vetiver notes seem to be a little stronger in the Zara perfume. Last but not least, the Zara bottle has a pleasant and practical presentation. It's not at the level of the Dior or Valentino bottles, but it's more than acceptable. Congratulations to Zara. I hope they develop many more quality scents than this 9.0. I would rate it 8.0~8.5/10.0 overall, which means it's a fragrance I can recommend without hesitation. My opinion: The low price (€9.0~€12.0 for 100ml) plays an important role in my overall assessment. I prefer to wear Valentino Uomo Intense or Dior Homme Intense. But I see no reason not to have a pair of Zara 9.0 as a backup or for travelling. I recommend it to any lover of Iris men's fragrances. At its price, you can buy it blindly without any regret. This was so cheap and accessible for such a long time and now... I can't find it ANYWHERE? This is literally my favorite fragrance of all time (criminally good price/value), so this disappearance has me a little worried.

A potent and lovely inexpensive perfume. Silage and lasting power are very good too. It's floral, a bit powdery, sweet and a little peppery. This is close to the gorgeous Paul Smith Man. I've never tried Valentino Uomo but I know I love this. This Zara is a real gem.

In the air, it's almost indistinguishable to Valentino Uomo, and performance wise it's better, although it's more synthetic than VU

The resemblance of this fragrance to Dior Homme is quite strong, and it boasts impressive longevity. However, personally, I am not particularly drawn to its powdery scent. Grab a bottle if you are, this stuff is quality for the price.

A sweet version of Valentino Uomo, good for semi-formal wear. Not suitable for the office as it is too seductive. Good performance with moderate projection for 4-5 hours and longevity of 8-10 hours at a great price! Not much better than the original

Zara 9.0 is my " the other woman ". This is Something I would go for at night when i am in need to boost my confident, being a little more badass, and a call for attention. Open with frangrances of spices mixed with sour bergamot and coriander like described in the ingredient list. Then turn into A warm, amber sweet of cardamom and iris. While the vetiver only disguises to keep the fragrances together in deep. Great Value for the Scent. Good sillage, quiet long lasting. Wonderful on dry cold evenings or nights of Fall and Winter.

I got this in 2019 and since then, I have gotten rid of Valentino Uomo and Uomo Intense. This outperforms both of them and smells spot-on to Valentino Uomo Intense. It's arguably Zara's best dupe to date. I don't think it it's very reminiscent of the Dior Homme line though. Shockingly good projection and longevity for a Zara fragrance.

This definitely is unisex! I wear this & its STUNNING! Love, love, love. Pick up the juniper in the dry down. Really happy with it!

If you're here in the comments section looking for some negative stuff about this fragrance believe me I'm 90% sure you will find nothing even close to negative. I don't have any words to describe this gorgeous peace of parfum. Price, smell, performance, uniqueness... It's stand up for them all. Just buy it and you will never regret.

I have a bottle from the original batch. It definitely is reminiscent of Valentino Uomo Intense and Dior Homme Intense. I stopped wearing it two years ago because I found it cloying. I starting wearing it again recently and like it MUCH better now, because I started applying it differently. I know this is odd to say for a Zara fragrance, but the key is to use no more than two sprays. That is all you need. It smells rich and lasts plenty long enough.

The first fragrance i bought when i started my collection, what a classy and mysterious iris this is, super high quality and unbelivable value for the price. I have a 2019 batch and it performs incredibly well, i've tried Valentino Uomo and yes, it's extremely close to it with less refined blend but still astonishing. The best Zara fragrance for sure, it's heaven in a bottle. Nowadays it's called "Classic 9.0" and it's a watered down version of this, bad bad, if you can find old batches with this beautiful matt bottle, buy it immediatly. 9,5/10

For sure a cost-effective version of Valentino & Dior. Great, However at an olfactory-price! While it may work for some I find the spotlight note ie. Iris, that is used here, nauseating & a artificially sweet. Devoid of any creaminess associated with the note, it is a synthetic mess.

This wasn't my first perfume but it was how I discovered Fragrantica. After I found it was a dupe for Valentino and Dior, I became more interested in fragrances in general. It's been years and I still wear this one consistently! I think in some ways it's better than Dior and Valentino because it's brighter and more fresh, making it more versatile and unique. But let's be honest it does follow the same waxy iris profile of both. For a $20 fragrance this is long lasting and a great value. What I love about Zara is that they allow people to obtain and enter the world of fragrances without paying higher end prices. I still have about half of my bottle left and once it's done I'll have to hunt down the newer version, the clear "CLASSICS" bottle with pink juice.

If you have problems finding this perfume try the new zara 527 green, the similarity is about 90%, I think the new perfume is even better considering that it has a better combination of iris and herbal notes and it is much more interesting and with more layers than 9.0. I also believe that its price is about the same as the one of 9.0

I am in love with this perfume... Zara should not discontinue this one. Would love to keep buying it for the rest of my life..

It's ok for the price Linear scent Smells syrupy and powdery I usually use this as room spray I rarely use this on my self not bad scent performs 4-5 hours longevity and projection is 40 minute than it becomes skin scent Nothing like Dior homme intense. But similar to Dior homme edt and Valentino uomo edt it's like hybrid of them but low quality

Yes it's a lot like Dior Homme. I haven't tried Valentino yet so I can't say much about that, but given Zara's tendency to replicate designer brands I'm sure there's a similarity as well. This is a great winter time scent. It's an Eau du Toilette so it's not so potent and doesn't have much longevity but it makes up for it with the inexpensive cost. It definitely has a spicy opening and settles to a more earthy/musky base. At 19.99USD it's worth it to give yourself 5-6 sprays to make up for the lack of potency. EDIT: I tried Valentino Uomo and the scent is exactly like Zara 9.0. I also was in Zara recently and noticed they are rebottling this juice in a clear bottle now called ZARA CLASSICS 9.0 EDIT 2: I started using this again and take back what I said, the longevity is quite good at 10 hrs but still the sillage is not strong
