While I can't try the new Elixir in my country, and other people are already hating Givenchy for the cherry and its attempt to jump on the hype train, I can tell you the cherry has been here for a long time. This beautiful scent features that same chemical cherry that I know from other areas, for example food. I tried others in hopes of finding a similar scent because it has no sillage on my male skin, but alas, it's a unique scent. But if you're woman, then most likely all can admire moderate sillage of your scent 🫦
Easily my favorite of the line so far ~ a glorious, sweet cacao tobacco edge just really does it for me. I feel like it gives some TF vibes but in a more vague, gentle way that I don't typically associate with them. Softly sweet but not too much. Seeing that this is a limited edition , I'm considering a backup.
This is my favourite perfume, so to me and to my taste it doesn't get better than this. Not as spicy as rouge, not as fresh as original l'interdit, somewhere in between and I truly believe this is perfection. The true beauty is in the dry down. Masterpiece. ❤️
the sexiest perfume I have ever smelled. This is a love potion, a feminine venom, such an amazing combination of cacao and white flowers. I feel like Jessica Rabbit when I wear it.
The most beautiful white floral orange blossom! I put this right behind Prada Paradox!
not really my style… or at least not the kind i usually go for the opening is warm, spicy, full of jasmine and reminds me of those oldschool sunscreens. it doesn’t change much as it dries down, it just becomes a little more perfumey this smells like a woman who’s bold, confident, and has absolutely no interest in hiding behind the usual light florals. even though i don’t normally wear scents like this i’ve always wanted something that makes me feel fearless and untouchable on the occasions i need that extra confidence. this does exactly that it also smells quite mature. i’ll probably wait until i’m 25+ before wearing it regularly… assuming it doesn’t get discontinued 👹
This smells like a Russian baddie who has been chain smoking, she's living in a grim, grey-skied, cold Dracula village in Eastern Europe, she wears 5 inch stiletto heels on uneven cobblestone paths, red lipstick , red almond nails. She's bold, silent and aloof with jet black hair and translucent icy blue eyes like a Siberian wolf . She's feminine but there's absolutely no vulnerability here, she's seen the depths of life but she's armoured by her beauty.
I genuinely don't understand the hype around this one. I wanted to love this, but it's generic, forgettable, and lacking the addictive quality i look for in a fragrance.
it’s a winter event for sure, very strong, long lasting and stifling smell if you sprayed too much. but overall a very beautiful and sexy scent. love it!
It's the younger, more playful, fun, inexperienced in life sister of the OG Rouge which is my signature scent for winter time! Very bubblegum-ey tuberose with tons of ambroxan (unfortunately I'm not a fan of amr). Thinner "body", floating notes, still sensual, but she just started dating. She's unaware of her beauty and charm. She has a lot to learn from her older OG sister. What I absolutely prefer in this one is the drydown. It's not the masculine and heavy that the OG Rouge (the only negative in the OG imp) has. Good for chill weather. Tested in summer and it was a bit suffocating..
I love this and the Rouge. This is softer and the cacao is prominent where the blood orange is prominent in the Rouge. I love them both but the regular Rouge is more potent and lasting, so it has the edge over this one for me. I prefer the colour and look of this bottle more though.
Kamo, proč tohle a intense verze mi ničí názor na white floral parfémy? Jsou boží, hot atd atd
Upon first spray I find this quite spicy and warm, and I'm not keen on that level of spice. But as it dries down, it gets sweeter and the L'interdit DNA is really strong. Quite simply, it smells like the other L'interdits. After I wash it off my skin, many hours later, only the spice remains, and I don't like that at all. That type of warm spiciness reminds me of bodily fluids from a certain place that shall not be named, and while I know L'interdit is supposed to be a sexy line, I don't want something that literal 😂 Of this line, pretty much the only one I like is L'interdit Absolu. It has a little spice but it's more of a cold spice. Just as sexy and smells much better to me. Of the Rouges, I think the original L'interdit Rouge is certainly nicer and more wearable than this one.
Oh hell yeah. This is white florals done right. Gorgeous sweet tuberose, like an expensive bath bomb from a five star hotel/luxury spa. It doesn't smell church-y or old lady, but it smells super sexy and mature and confident. It's not overly sweet or girly either. Its so perfectly balanced and it has that super addictive smoky undertone to it.
Absolutely gorgeous warm sweet white flowers. Incredibly projecting, you really need hardly any sprays. Not a casual daytime fragrance at all, more for dates, nights, special occasions, cold winter holidays. Feels like a perfect Valentine's day scent to me. I normally hate tobacco but this is just a hint and when it mixed with the chocolate it just creates this warm cocooning feeling - a bit spicy but not in the same way as the original rouge. This is very very sweet. Honestly idk how I will ever get through a bottle but this is such a gorgeous well done fragrance.
I got it as a present because I use the Rouge and having this one feels redundant. It smells good it's a bit lighter than rouge and I feel that rouge has a better projection and silage than Rouge Ultime. But since I prefer darker heavier fragrances I will not be repurchasing this one and will be sticking with the rouge. Rouge is straight up dark and mysterious and Rouge Ultime is like a mix of edginess, innocence and fun at the same time.
I detected leather on my skin, with a strong presence of bubblegummy tuberose. I appreciate how cocoa, vetiver and tobacco notes deliver an earthy accord that enhances the complexity and maturity to the overall vibe. This is a rich composition but much smoother than the OG Rouge and Angelica Rouge. Better worn on colder days when the cocoa gets to shine.
As I mentioned in my L’Interdit review, I enjoyed owning this fragrance, but I never saw it as casual. Wearing it to a grocery store feels totally off. The same applies to Rouge Ultime. This version is lighter, sweeter and more romantic, but it still demands a certain attire and attitude. There’s a reason this line was originally created for Audrey Hepburn, even after countless reformulations. It carries a sense of occasion, and it's an extremely unversatile perfume. It fits one setting: a high event. If your daily life consists of being impeccably dressed, moving between elegant cafés, then maybe it works as a signature. For most people, though, this is an evening gown in fragrance form. The scent profile is too sweet and syrupy for me, borderline screechy at times. I definitely prefer the original. It’s also highly concentrated, which can become overwhelming, especially in warmer weather. Versatility is limited not only in terms of occasion but also season. This is more for fall–winter, a summer night could work, but only if you’re showing up like you’re wearing a diamond crown. It can be a great formal date night perfume.
Such a perfect sexy date night perfume. I probably can’t chase an entire bottle. It’s too intense.
Cloying, mature, rich, expensive.
Rouge Ultime is pure seduction in a bottle! ❤️🔥 It’s a dark, seductive fragrance but fresh and clean at the same time. The orange blossom and jasmine opening feels floral yet sensual—never like a typical overpowering white floral. I usually don’t enjoy jasmine or tuberose since they can be headache-inducing, but here they’re creamy, smooth, and beautifully blended. As it dries down, a powdery cocoa warmth adds a velvety, addictive sweetness. Perfect for special evenings. I also have the OG roll-on which I love!!! But thats fresher and suitable for daytime and more versatile. Rouge ultime is my new favourite and definitely in my top 5 perfumes❤️❤️
I have to remember to stop making snap judgements. In life. In perfume. At first spray, I disliked it. It smelled chemically. Sharp. There's such a thing as a dry-down, sis! Once it does, that tobacco note settles in nicely. What a classy fragrance. It's like OG, but you're in a humidor. The tobacco note is so strong to my nose, but I'm diggin' it!
A spicy floral woody perfume perfect for date nights!, anytime of the year Projects very well, leaves a good scent trail. Lasts about 5-6 hours or maybe I go nose blind beyond that! I am partial towards patchouli and vetiver and in this case, these two (to me!) adds a kick to this scent. I don't get tobacco that usually makes to smokey but I am not complaining! I am tuberose and jasmine girl through and through, but i feel like it's all blended into the perfume and it doesn't stick out to me.. usually that would make me upset, but this perfume is excellent and makes a good combination of the florals (although orange blossom note is the one I can pick) with the herbs/woodies! It is different from the original i'interdit and the flankers with the black bottle. Between the rouge and rouge ultime, I will always go with the latter.
Opens up with a sweet floral, not too bubble gum like the original L'Interdit. As it dried down, it smelled really familiar. Then it hit me- around 2009 or so, I received a Givenchy coffret set with a bunch of minis. This is really similar to one of them from the Irresistible line, either the one in the red bottle or the purple and black one, I don't remember. Either way, it's an okay scent, not offensive, but not something I would choose to wear. Smells like going clubbing in the late 00's.
This smell chalky, generic and tacky, I smelled so many designer perfumes with similar smell. Not projecting either. A hard pass
i have very mixed feelings about this perfume. everytime i try it i get a different sensation. sometimes it smells warm and spicey, other times i get bubble gum-like sweetness. complex and full of surprises for sure.
rouge ultime is a beautiful scent. quietly sexy without overdoing anything. it feels versatile enough to work in almost every season, sitting comfortably between ordinary and extraordinary. there’s a warm, slightly red-pepper-like spiciness that gives it depth, and the sweetness is present but never pushed too far. everything feels smooth and balanced, which also makes it easy to wear. most importantly for me, it doesn’t cause any nausea, which already says a lot. personally, it instantly reminded me of something my mom used to wear when i was a kid, to the point where i gave it directly to her because that association was so strong. because of that, it feels more like her scent than mine. still, it’s undeniably pretty, well-rounded, and pleasant, there’s genuinely nothing bad to say about it.
I looove this perfume. I generally love the L’interdit line. I have the original edp, the intense, rouge and lately bought this gem. My absolute favorite is the original edp, then this one, and lastly the intense. I don’t like the original Rouge because it’s way too gingery for my liking. This one, however, is a mix between a lovely opening and the heavenly dry down of Rouge edp. It is like they knew I didnt like the Rouge for the ginger bomb opening, so they removed it lol. I get a mix between cocoa pods and cherries. This is the epitome of feminine energy. In terms of longevity, I feel like I have to reapply, but also it turns out I go nose blind with this one so fast. I stop smelling it yet will get compliments. If you want to get into the L’interdit line, I think this one would be the safest start. I also think it will be slightly cloying in summer heat, but it shines through cold weather immensely. The original edp imo is more versatile and signature scent worthy, but this one is so beautiful also and like no other.
I feel bitter apple with white flowers
smells like nail salon
