Please do not be fooled as this fragrance hides as if it’s a woman fragrance. This is very much unisex and I would say it leans masculine. Let me tell you that this is my special weapon, women go absolutely crazy for florals that are fresh but this one has something special on the dry down once that tobacco hits and the more dark resinous feel comes from the rum and patchouli. It opens up very fresh from the lavender yet still sweet because of the cardamom and the neroli makes it bright. If you are into Gucci guilty elixir then you will most definitely love this. This is along the lines of YSL myself and Gucci guilty elixir (no I am not saying they smell similar I can only put them in the same family due to the white florals”
This is Tubereuse Astrale by Maison Crivelli in different bottle
Its a lot like the Rouge but with the woody spicy notes. Definitely a winter or fall fregrance
It is rich, deep and mysterious. It could lean more on masculine side, but I think it could work as well for women who loves intense, stoic fragrances. Gives matrica vibes, definitely a fragrance, that you would wear with leather jacket and a pair of stiletto heels.
My mother received this as a gift and didn't like it. She said, and I quote ''maybe if I wasn't a blonde but a large brunette woman like Seka Aleksić (Serbian singer) I'd wear this. To be fair she's a school teacher in her mid 60s. I loved it immediately (as a gay man) and it became my signature scent in the winter! My friend, both male and female, borrow this scent from me. Its truly unisex. It lasts very long, especially on clothes. I didn't bring any perfumes to my winter trips but sprayed the clothes in my luggage with this and still got compliments, thats how well it stays on fabric. I washed shirts and they still smelled like this. Stays well on skin too. I recommend it to everyone.
I did one spritz on my pulse and when I went outside, a bee was chasing me and going after my arm! Dry down was pretty much patchouli I wish the white florals lasted longer. It's nice!
You can like the notes but it does not mean that you will like the juice. This smells so outdated….what am i smelling? My grandpas rosemary deodorant?? Church incense??? Very unpleasant & herbal But hey if yall like it i love it
This is Unisex according to Givenchy website and Im a male. Never did I think this was feminine when I tried it at the store and immediately bought it Online 😅. This is a dark sexy and mysterious tuberose with sweet goodness lingering behind it. Very potent. My bottle is over a year old I remember when I got it there was a strong opening but that subdued after 7-8 months. This is something else. A true Fu**boy fragrance. Truly unique and even somewhat mainstream friendly in a niche way. I wear this when I want to stand out in the crowd and events/venues. This fragrance lasts all day and all night.
too masculine for my taste
In the beggining I fell in love with the seducing sensual tuberose in this one! But then...I get something very herbal! I would swear I smelled angelica, so when I got home I double checked the photo I took to ensure it's the "Absolu". Weird. That phase lasts for quite sometime and I don't enjoy it, but then it sontinues its initial tuberosey charm! The drydown is SO sensual....to die for!!! It's the drydown I wish Rouge had.... You see, this one has an unpleasant (herbal-masculine) middle part. The Rouge has an unpleasant (too masculine!) drydown. Can we just combine only the goodness in 1 please??? If we make a scent "for women", let it be feminine!😅❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
This is seduction in a bottle. You'll need this, a dress and a smile and any poor chap that you're after is yours. Please use with caution! I bought this for my wife after a tester strip was brandished at me in a perfume shop. I've never bought a scent so quickly, for me or her, ever before. When she wears it she proudly states "I smell ****ing wonderful". And she does, she really does!
Dark, mysterious, sensual. Three words I would use to describe how I feel when I wear this. Special occasion fragrance. My partner goes crazy for this smell, he has told me he associates it with dinner dates, romance and me dressing up to go out. I love the rum/tobacco/white flower combination. Intoxicating.
Extremely perplexed. Generally, I like Givenchy parfumés. But this one...Maybe, my expectations were too high, or maybe I have not been attentive enough and overlooked "oriental" and "absolu" warnings. Initially it smells ok-ish. But: lasted on me about 3-4h, with moderate projection, and after 3rd hour all I can smell is overwhelming, almost 🤢🤮 patchouli smell. Strong no from me. Of course, parfums are vers individual, and if you like patchouli it will be great bay for you Update: "thanks" to this parfum ,and YSL libre intense, I have understood that I absolutely hate lavender in perfumes, especially in "oriental" blends. Newer again
VERY sensual, like i think of this when i hear that word
I just bought this from Sephora when they had a 50% sale on this flanker. It’s my first Givenchy perfume. I have read so much about this line when I wanted to get Tuberose perfume. The price was too good to resist. I tried it on the paper strip and was ok with the woody notes. It is definitely more unisex than leaning feminine. I hope I will like it enough though.
All you need is a good lipstick, a sensual dress, and this perfume to make your crush succumb to you. This is pheromones in a classy bottle to go.
Honestly this is one of the best frags of the last 5 years imo. Definitely unisex too, surprised it has been so under the radar. Might have to stock up.
Purchased May 2026 from Nordstrom Rack online. Well...this was not what I was expecting. I really enjoy being on Fragrantica and researching all the fragrances, often spending hours inside fun rabbit holes. I am usually drawn to dark, mysterious, purple-ish fragrances and this one seemed interesting since I was not familiar with the line. So this was a blind buy. I am 41/male/white. What's really crazy about this experience is that CK One Shock has been my daily go-to everyday fragrance for about 5-10 years now. I opened Givenchy L'Interdit Absolut, sprayed in the air and on my arm and what do you know? Its CK One Shock for men. Lol. I even compared the pyramids and they are very similar, even though I never assumed they would be since this Givenchy line is well established with its own DNA. I'm not mad about it, just was hoping for something new. I'll let it macerate to see how much it changes. Hopefully it starts to differentiate itself, but know that this is suuuuper close to CK One Shock for men. At least initially from a brand new bottle. I'll update in a month or so.
Why isn't this fragrance more popular? I have no idea. Its definitely more unisex than feminine for sure. The usage of rum and patchouli give it a darker, slightly dirtier edge while the florals lift the rest of the fragrance forward. Also the cardamon and lavender make it feel like a distant cousin of Jean Paul Gaultier's Le Male Le Parfum. I think of lot of guys would love to wear this fragrance if they knew what it was. This is french designer perfumery at its finest having really good sillage, a light airiness to it from a distance, but still an elegance. This is one of those fragrances I gatekeep hard. Its a really good combination of taking the strengths of the original line, and combining it with a certain richness you don't see in other fragrances of the same caliber. It refuses to play by the rules of modern department store trends.
This is my gem. When I first smelled it at the store I had to do a double take on whether it's a female or male fragrance. It is SO unisex! When I got home I couldn't stop thinking about the smell, it just stuck with me for some reason, I couldn't shake it. So I got a full-bottle and it was the best decision. This one is for winter nights, when you are wearing a long black coat with fur and high black boots, it is freezing and snowing outside. Super sophisticated, sexy, dark scent, there is just something about it. Very unique smell for me, people will notice, compliment you and remember it. Every time I look at it on my shelf I have to smell it, it's just that good. I also have the Rouge from the same line. They are my loves, all time favorites. Wouldn't blind buy if you are not familiar with the DNA from this line though.
Dramatic and addictive… like rum & raisin ice-cream with a shot of dark rum poured over it. The tobacco and rum persisted through opening to dry down. Very smooth and quite velvety because of the soft floral accords. There’s a sweetness to the composition but it’s quite mature and sophisticated. Incredible projection and longevity; I didn’t need to reapply at mid-day like my other L’interdit iterations. Overall, big love from me as it satisfies my little black heart 🖤🤘
Despite being advertised and a part of Givenchy’s women’s perfume line, I think this is one of the best unisex fragrances I’ve smelt to date. It’s deep and sensual yet smooth and soft. You won’t have to worry about performance at all; the beauty is in the scent. The lavender and neroli opening is beautiful. Idk what tuberose smells like but it’s got great smooth florals. And I love the tobacco, rum and vetiver combo once it becomes more of a skin scent. I literally smelt this on someone in Canada almost 2 years ago and have thought about it everyday since. I could’ve bought it online, but I wanted to get my hands on it and smell it again. Couldn’t find it in any Sephora, Ulta, Dillard’s, or mall. Welp I ended up finding it in an airport in Hawaii. Bought it instantly and it’s now a top 5 fragrance that I own and is signature scent worthy. And yes, the glaze is justified. Any man or woman wearing this has my respect.
Woww I absolutely love it I tried this out at Boots and I love it I don’t usually wear female Givenchy perfumes because they’re too feminine for me but this fragrance smells more masculine or unisex. It’s quite a strong sweet spicy scent it smells very sexy and expensive this is the best addition to the collection it’s my favourite this one lasts a very long time great lasting power.
As a man i absolutely loved this scent when i first came upon with accidentaly ,because i was getting myself a backup bottle of Gentleman EDP and the newly released by then -Society Ambree. And i guess i found a match for them for my wife for late night outs. She really loved it. I dont find it unisex because i enjoy masculine scents but my wife kept wearing it on cold winter evenings. Definitely not a hot weather fragrance. Lasts whole evening on skin and few days on clothes. Projects loudly first couple hours then settles as a seductive and sexy black perfume scent. Luckily my wife will forever keep it in her collection because i love smelling this one on her neck and chest
This is the mature seductive woman who knows what she wants and makes sure to take it! She starts by giving you a sweet kiss and before you know it she has her claws in your back and owns you - for a long time... This perfume is sexy as hell, but in a suggestive way.
Scrumptious. Absolutely Scrumptious. I had Intense, but I sold it because of the sesame note. It just didn't sit well with me, so I was excited to test this when it came out. I adored it, but it was coming into summer where I live and it is more of a cool/cold weather scent. So i put in on my winter 2025 wish list. Well, i forgot about it. I tested it again while Christmas shopping and decided that I wasn't going to forget about it again. I bought it about 4 weeks ago, damn it's SEXY. I haven't worn it out yet, but wearing it at home makes me want to rip my own clothes off 😉 It's so well blended. The rum, tuberose, lavender, Jasmine, patchouli and vetiver is so smooooth but sexy spicy. It's a little syrupy sweet, but not in a juvenile way at all. Although it leans a little feminine, it's totally unisex and I would swoon if i smelt this on a dude. It's sex in a bottle. MA rated. Proceed with caution. Your significant other will want to bury their face in your neck... Or breasts... Or thighs.... or.. well this is getting X rated real quick. So I'll leave it at that.
This is grown up sexy. The sweetest tuberose now dressed with black leather BDSM inspired stuff...you know, this is a crazy one. Not for little pansies. This scent comes with bad intentions included. What a bomb! dark, spicy, sultry...very intense....tobacco and patchouli are well behaved but incredibly sensual. This stuff smells so niche! if it came in a TF bottle people would be raving about it and it would have 10 cheap dupes... Got to get it before it is completely gone...
The scent of a high-end hotel lobby or a brand-new car with leather seats 😄 It's definitely very high quality, but I don't think it's unique. I've encountered many alternatives to this formulation, but they definitely can't match its quality. Suitable for unisex use. It's as successful as the blood orange scent in the series. I don't think there's much difference in formulation and performance between this and the Intense version; if I were to bottle it, I would buy this one.
Dark, moody, stylish vibe that better suits a commanding presence or personality and hints at luxury. Tuberose here is prominent and I happen to love it. The sprayer delivers a fine mist making it easier to overspray. All versions are more appropriate for cool weather. I tried edp vs absolut vs Rouge and am still on the fence. Absolut has the perfect balance between tuberose and tobacco/rum/cadamom yet it fades after an hour. Rouge, to me, is similar to Absolut plus cherry which I am not fond of; another downfall is the short longevity. Edp (Clear gold, not Parfum edp with black square interface) has perfect tuberose-patchouli balance which makes me swoon enough for a full bottle - only downfall is its enormous sillage which overpowers me as well as the room.
Man I hate when expensive shit is actually good. Tuberose tends to be too bubblegum-sweet in my experience, but here it’s grounded by the cardamon opening and the ever-present tobacco. I smell like a vixen!
