Received from a monthly subscription: I added this to my queue because of the patchouli note, so I was excited to try it! First few sprays and I was afraid I got myself a "grandma" perfume. I hated it on me. I didn't give up on her, though. I came here to read reviews and I just wasn't smelling the fruity "bubble gummy" opening note that everyone else was. I tried it again, and there were those notes! Power of suggestion? I don't know! But the "grandma" scent is gone now. I'm wondering if the first few pumps were just "off"???? I actually like the fragrance now. But I have other jasmine fragrances that I like more, so I don't think I'll purchase it. I also don't think it lasts long. I do have one thing to mention: is it possible that some people are reviewing the wrong fragrance here? I think that's the problem with so many designers making so many flankers, with such similar names. It gets confusing! I sampled the Le Parfum flanker of this scent the other day and it is, in my opinion, the definition of disgusting. Straight up bubble gum cough syrup nastiness. Long story short: I think it's possible that some are leaving a review of the Le Parfum here in the EDP. (yadda yadda yadda anyone still reading this?)
Mb my fault for wearing it in the summer but at first it smelled beautiful and emotional, but then an hour or so passed, and it made me nauseous.
This is truly such a unique perfume! It opens with the juicy pear then dries down to smoky floral that lasts! Perfect for everyday and sexy
This is literally a perfection in the bottle I absolutely love it, so feminine, sexy and versatile. It's a little floral, fruity and fresh. I wish the lasting power was better though. Great for a signature scent.
smells heavy af and nauseating like syrup
I love the scent trail i get with this one but something in here makes me nauseous
Bought this blind buy because I was 18 and determined to find my personal identifying scent. Everyone said this was a sexy perfume, and so I purchased. Immediately came to know that it was not for me, I am not a sexy, sultry person. It was too strong and too moody for me. But not bad smelling, just not my vibe. 5/10
Playful and gorgeous, cute yet sexy with a kiss of slutty! It feels like wearing an off shoulder sundress with pearl earrings and modest makeup, save a bright berry lip. You’re shy and have incredibly high standards, but you might kiss on the first date. I was skeptical on the hype, but after sampling it, oh I needed a 50ml immediately 😭 And I’m not a white floral gal, but this blew me away.
I sampled this and loved it. Fresh, sweet and a little powdery. I will be investing in the full perfume soon.
This is the most complimented perfume I’ve ever worn. Every time someone asked what I was wearing and I told them it was Givenchy L’Interdit EDP, they ended up buying a bottle for themselves or for someone they love. And unlike many fragrances, I never go nose-blind to this one—I get little reminders of how gorgeous it smells all day long.
Right now, I’m going through a bit of a change-of-heart phase, revisiting perfumes I once thought were rather underwhelming and realising they’re not actually that bad. L’Interdit is no exception. I used to find it too clean and too sweet at the same time, with the orange blossom almost completely drowned out on my skin. Today, that same clean, sweet facet is still there, but I’ve simply gotten used to it, and I now pick up the orange blossom much more clearly as it comes through more distinctly. In the end, I find myself thinking it’s not that bad after all. I still don’t find anything particularly remarkable in it, nor do I see it as especially sexy the way many people describe it, but when I’m in the mood for something simple and comforting, I now find myself thinking, "L’Interdit wouldn’t be a bad choice." To me, it remains a very clean fragrance, but a pleasant one nonetheless.
i thought id be getting a floral forward clean scent the florals are heavy and too slutty for an everyday fragrance
Like grape candy and bubblegummy florals. Unique and playful fragrance, potentially headache-inducing but not bad enough that I don’t want it.
The overall impression is that this is the daytime version of Rouge (or that Rouge is the nighttime expression of this). It's sweeter and lighter while retaining the collection's signature command. Rouge is like Stiffler's Mom while L'Interdit is like Michelle.
my mam wears this now and it’s the most beautiful sophisticated, elegant scent (which is perfect for the gorgeous woman she is). Despite the reformulation, Audrey still exists here! One day I hope to also wear it as well as these lovely ladies.
Tuberose taken to perfection!! My auntie gave it to me, she is more of Narciso Rodriguez fragrances. I was very positively surprised with how the florals have been made here, is so pretty, cute and elegant at the same time! Made definitely for colder weather day or night
Lovely take on tuberose. Seems like a more nighttime/ going out smell to me. Good longevity.
Lovely take on tuberose. Seems more like a going out/ formal perfume to me. Good longevity.
This is orange, jasmine and tuberose strong and lasting combo. It's really has strong silage and fill up the room. Not for weak head. One spray is enough. Feminine and what you called the actual female perfume is described as conventionally.
It is perfect for spring. May, June are perfect for it. An abundance of white flowers and fruity notes. One can even imagine wild strawberries scent but it is a juicy, fully mature pear. It is strong and lasts very long. One of the strongest perfums ever. With 2 sprays it trails behind me and I am drown in a bubble for many hours. One spray will suffice, next time I will use less. The scent is joyful and adorable, ultra-feminine. For a carefree soul. Bridal, too. I think it pairs nicely with white colour and will make you the centre of attention.
Created in the 50s, Sophisticated classy and seductive.the fact its still around after 70 years ..truly timeless! Fruity and floral blend with a touch of vanilla. When I wear it I automatically feel more beautiful.
Elegance in a bottle, very unique and it is indeed addictive. It is a perfume you remember, and I would buy it again.
I love floral perfumes but this one makes me feel like I have been punched on my nose! It's a very artificial-smelling floral fragrance. Even for a floral lover me this is way too strong. It also turns bitter on my skin after a while and I needed to wash it off with warm water and soap to get rid of that smell.
Too sweet, headache inducing
I'm not a fan of this one. It smells very dated. Like some classic perfume my mother would have worn 20+ years ago. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but I just want to emphasise that this does not smell like a modern perfume. Of the whole L'interdit line, this is my least favourite. The EDT however, is nice and fresh. Rouge is nice, as is Absolu. If you're not into vintage scents, I would give the original L'interdit a miss.
Ultimately disappointing, lacks depth and isn’t even a particularly good white floral. Expensive.
One of my favorite scents ever! It reminds me of grape-flavored artificial candy, but sexy and grown-up, not childish at all and I love it. The longevity isn’t the best for me, honestly, but I don’t mind. The original EDP is my favorite; the flankers are just meh.
SO SO ADDICTIVE!! 5/5
Smells like a really modern clothes shop. Like a shop where I know I can't afford anything but I go in just to look and then get made to feel unwelcome by the staff- in like a good way
Something feels off about this scent. There’s no pear note at all—just strong tuberose and patchouli. I love the pretty, clear bottle, but I just can’t imagine myself wearing it. I guess it’s simply too strong for me.
