Boring, not very pleasant, smell of caramel. Nothing else.
My first designer fragrance I ever bought. Now when I smell it, it smells like burning/rubbing alchohol. Yuck!
This one is a no for me. At first spray, I strangely get canned three bean salad, then fades to sweet baby wipes. I get the patchouli on the deep dry down. I’ll test this a bit more, but so far, it’s not looking hopeful.
I still have a half bottle left of Candy Night. This perfume is so fun and nostalgic. It is a creamy chocolate-y citrus fragrance. But I mostly get the chocolate and vanilla. This is my favorite Prada Candy flanker.
It’s pleasant. I can smell it more noticeably than the original. The original is very faint on clothes and barely detectable on my skin . I think this one is an acquired taste. I’ve been trying to love it. It’s a like not a love. More for cool weather. 4/20/26Update: it’s a cool spring day. I love this scent. I’ve worn it many times over the fall and winter and I’m glad I kept this one. On clothes it has nice longevity, scent bubble and projection. It’s cozy and just the right amount of sweet. I applied to sweater around my neck and I smell this hours later without trying, so happy to report I haven’t gone nose blind. I can wear day or night. It’s comforting and uplifting at the same time. It took time to grow on me but I’m so happy this is in my collection as I really appreciate it now. I like to overspray scents like this and it hasn’t bothered me. I could make a pretty penny selling this but I’m keeping it to appreciate and wear while it’s available. No regrets with this one.
I feel so lucky to have found a bottle of this in a brick and mortar shop in CT! I remember smelling this a few years ago and really liking it, but I just wasn't into fragrance back then and didn't want to spend the $$. I wasn't going to order from the internet for fear of scammers. It is such a gorgeous bottle and the scent is just as I expected. A cocoa-y powdery slightly orange-y candy smell. It isn't too sweet like so many of the newer chocolates. I wish it lasted a bit longer, but it's not terrible longevity, it's ok. Lots of powdery in the dry down, I think the OG Candy is like powdery too if I remember correctly but I haven't smelled that one in a while either. I love this one though, I could wear it all the time:)
Though discontinued, I managed to get a sample of this perfume. It's described to be a citrusy, chocolate scent (I imagined Terry's chocolate), but I barely get any chocolate from it. The opening is sweet and slightly citrusy, then it dries down to a clean, powdery scent. There's a very faint cocoa note in the background, but I wouldn't smell it if I didn't know it's a chocolate fragrance. The patchouli is definitely the most prominent note for me. It's a pleasant fragrance but it's nothing wow. I've smelled similar fragrances so it's quite generic, in my opinion. Projection and longevity are also meh.
Im so disappointed, i rly wanted to like this but for the first hour it smells so much like a burnt bitter cacao nib, i didnt get any citrus either. Im not saying dont buy this, i just wish it were sweeter. I liked the dry down but if I were to use this, it needs to be layered with something. Definetly a baddie if she wears this but its not my thing 🥲
I get citrus and something candied. Same vibe as D&G Devotion but more of a skin scent and dare I say, sophisticated. I love both, but still owning the two is redundant imho.
Why does this smell like cigarettes to me?
MNA: missing nose alert. Who is the perfumer?
Love at first sniff. Immediately prompted an eBay purchase to find this discontinued gem. Delicious.
The opening smells like dark chocolate covered candied orange peel. It's very sharp and intense at first then dries down into something much smoother and calmer but still unsure if I like it.
I don't think this surpasses the original Prada candy flanker. However, patchouli is a hit or miss for me as a note and it was a miss here.
I have tested it in perfume store, This perfume has the same DNA of the original "Prada Candy" perfume plus cacao fragrance with less warmth or depth, starts with fresh flowers fragrance then transfer to the powdery vanilla note which exists in the original "Prada Candy", at the dry down the flowers fragrance move to the background and Cacao with a little hint of Patchouli appears to the main mixture DNA of "Prada Candy" perfume. For my own taste, I prefer original "Prada Candy" version, I think it's more feminine, gourmand, powdery warm and deepy. Sweety Powdery in a different way when you compare it with the popular sweety perfumes in the market, also the shifts between notes are more intense make me very interesting and happy with this fragrance. This fragrance suitable to wear it at night, in winter or Autumn seasons. It lasts 8 hours on the leather and one day on clothes.
I enjoy so many Prada scents, for varying reasons. This smells like my late dog Ruebie. She died last year, she was a bit old. Yes of course, her feet smelled like fritos and her forehead like turkey bones post-broth, but her core... it was this. She was such a good girl! I've written about her in my Florabotanica review and I hope to write many more evoking good times with my canine friend. I just got a bottle, mostly so that I can sniff her and cry. Snot bubbles and all. I miss my dog. I'm crying now.
This is best worn at nighttime, but can also be worn during the colder and darker months. It pairs well with other fragrances with chocolate or mocha notes. The powdery note in this (more prominent in the dry-down) makes this sexy fragrance even more feminine.
I can't get enough of this. Prada Candy Night is a delicious chocolatey orange with the musky clean base of original prada candy. Lately, I am into prada's older stuff as it's constantly disappearing into obscurity. So happy I picked this one up in the full 80ml and a backup of Amber. Update: I also have a 30 ml in my purse all the time now. It's such an amazing perfume.
Chocolate done right. Not a swiss miss hot chocolate mix chocolate but a nice sweet , rich quality chocolate. The iris gives her a powdery- Ness. Not too much powder, just right. Yes I love her. She's unique to my collection. Just a note I don't get sharp bitter orange at all.
I got this perfume for free and I love the pretty bottle or I would declutter it from my collection. It is too bitter, too orange. . I wouldn't eat candy that smells like bitter orange fabric softener sheets.. I try to use it when I can and spray a fresh citrus body spray to lighten it up.. like I said at least the bottle is pretty! No Ive changed my mind. It's also a very chocolaty powdery perfume with whiffs of caramel. Grown and mature but still cute and girly. Definitely would not declutter
This is such a delicious scent! Prada Candy Night is sweet and warm, with a really prominent chocolate note that I love. It lasts all day on me, too. Definitely a new favorite.
something about the chocolate + bitter orange + patchouli makes me feel like i just walked into a lush. it's nice, i wish this flanker stuck around longer! i like my gourmands to have a little bitterness or freshness to balance out the sweet; fulfills the same need as black opium illicit green for me
A blind buy that I regret. First fragrance that I had such a visceral reaction to. Something about it makes me nauseous. Maybe I don't like bitter orange or neroli, or it doesn't mix well with my skin. Just not for me, but I could definitely see someone else loving it
When I first got my bottle, the chocolate note was not as prominent as it is now that I’ve had it for a while and it has had the chance to macerate. This is a very bitter scent. It smells like a Lindt Orange Intense Dark Chocolate bar and, in fact, resembles dark chocolate pralines... actually, it smells a lot like dark chocolate pralines. To my nose, it has a boozy chocolate liqueur/rum undertone. It’s sexy, powdery, and delicious. Overall, it’s a dark and elegant gourmand. However, this may be off-putting to some, as the bitterness mixed with the floral notes can give it a slightly old chocolate scent. I personally love it, but it can be hit or miss for some chocolate fragrance lovers. The lasting power is okay; it could be worse. The performance is just average, though, and it doesn’t perform like a designer perfume should, especially for the price.
very boring - chocolate and musk w/ unnecessary patchouli. no visceral reaction. just eh. the middle daughter who never went through an awkward phase and who has been pretty and popular her whole life, living under the shadows of her siblings.
A really horrid scent to my nose, it made me recoil. Bitter, pungent, yet dusty powdered cacao. Perhaps the bottle I tried was off? Either way I’m not going to try again to find out lol.
This scent reminded me of those dark chocolate Valencia orange drinks that you get around the holidays at Starbucks. Super sugary sweet! I loved sipping it but dont want to smell like it.
On initial spray, I get booted in the face with soapy iris. It's intense. 5 minutes later, the chocolate/orange/neroli combo soothes me for about an hour-ish. Final dry down gives way to a light, lovely vanilla patchouli combo that's absolutely divine. Fragrance ride on my skin lasts about 2ish hours total. I absolutely adore it, all of it! Including the iris assault.
I found myself quite puzzled by this fragrance. The combination of chocolate and iris, which I expected to be rich and indulgent, instead comes off as a peculiar cocoa powder scent. It's an unusual mix that I just can't wrap my head around. The fragrance doesn't quite deliver the warmth or depth I was hoping for. Overall, it's a confusing blend that left me underwhelmed.
as an admirer of bitchy chypres, grandmas' soapy white florals, unisex citruses and manly leathers, this and lira/l de lolita are the only real gourmands i love, no wonder dyed-in-the-wool gourmand girlies hate it. unsweetened cocoa powder for baking plus a drop of neroli, pretty linear.
